  1. Gotta give Carter props. He shut Stark down, he's usually a deadeye 3 point shooter. They're definitely not used to that physical of a game, OVC refs call much tighter, they got out muscled. Gotta say I thought refs called an even game (what little I got to see) they let them play without calling little stuff. Only thing I thought was out of line was the 3 ball with 2 seconds left. Back in my coaching days if we had a good lead last few seconds no player was allowed to shoot. It's a sportsmanship/class thing to me. Congrats to WVU, good luck in the dance. I'll get the coffee brewing:beer:
  2. There's one upset. Ready to see another.
  3. I'm pretty persnickety about my high fallutin coffee myself. Folgers with good clean well water and keep the cream and sugar as far away as possible. Now you do understand I'm rooting for the underdogs so if we lose it's expected by most and no big deal, however if they win they're the heroes of the day. So I'm betting a cup of coffee against long odds but the bragging rights for an upset are far more valuable. No shame in losing to a better team but harder to take losing to a team most people never heard of. Not sure they'll :250:on your parade but it'll sure be enjoyable if they do.
  4. Sounds like NTP needs to be plan A with a couple options if there's bad weather that way. Thanks for the input so far. More ideas are welcome also.
  5. For a small OVC school MSU has a pretty rich basketball tradition. Several big school coaches started their head coaching careers here. Mick Cronin and Steve Prohm were the last two. Mark Gottfried was another and Houston Nutt coached football here before Arkansas and Mississippi. I don't believe we'll ever be a top NCAA school but it's fun for a small school. On another note my oldest starts U Kentucky med school this fall so I guess I'll have to support them some now.
  6. I'll bet ya a cup of coffee and bragging rights payable at Don's MD.
  7. They play best with a fast running game. Some really good 3 shooters. When they're on they're tough to keep up with, when they're off, well..........
  8. That storm blew through here yesterday. Biggest snow flakes I've ever seen. Very wet and heavy, it sounded like we were driving through a rain storm.
  9. You definitely have the advantage with the 5 seed vs our 12 but I learned never count em out. In 1988 MSU went in a 16 and took out No 1 NC State. They've knocked out a few upsets since then. Any given day who knows. We've also lost our share of head scratchers too. :confused24:
  10. I had to replace the O ring on mine. Remove the screw from the side and pull plug out. Be ready for the detent ball and spring to fly away.
  11. Hey Yammer Dan your WVU team is playing our MSU first round. Makes a lot of sense they're going all the way to California to do it.
  12. Our local Murray State Racers are goin dancin!!!!:dancefool:
  13. Got the new Commander II, Skydoc clutch upgrade, Mic-Mutes, and waiting for the Amplirider. Add all these to the Edsets splitter and Bluetooth receiver, do an oil change, carb synch, fluid check and we're ready to pack up and roll. Gonna wait until about time to roll out to choose the route, all depending on weather. Blue Ridge, Natchez, Alabama, Florida, Georgia? Who knows. Bet it's going to be fun. :7_6_3[1]:and hopefully none of this:mytruck:
  14. I've let hay cutters cut my field in the past. I didn't get paid in cash but I saved time, gas, and the headache of mowing it. Just look at it as time and gas not spent on the tractor can be spent on two or three wheels. Having said that I don't have 13 acres, that much hay may bring in even more $$$$ for bike gas. They do the work, take the hay, and you don't break a sweat.
  15. My Commander II should've come in today. I tried to find the 888 before I ordered it. I could only find the 888 in a 130 series.
  16. Did you find OEM rear tire size in the 888? I have them on my 1st gen but haven't seen it in the 150 series for the rear of the 2nd gen.
  17. I ordered the Commander II today. If I get anywhere near that mileage I'll be tickled. I think my biggest problem is my right hand and love of torque.
  18. I too am looking at new rears. While I know there is a correlation between the right wrist and tire wear the Shinko hasn't impressed me. Really thinking dark side but don't want to lose ride height. The Shinko isn't completely worn out but we're leaving on a 2000 mile run so it's getting replaced. Like my Metzler 888 on the 1st gen but can't find one for the RSV.
  19. Gonna look into that, thanks.
  20. Agree with the recommendations but if you get an older small tractor without a live pto invest in an overrun clutch for the pto shaft. It'll keep the bush hog from pushing you during a fast stop.
  21. I wish we could be there. School is back in session in early August and that's the time frame when my prop business is hammered and it's all hands on deck to get the last shows out for the fall season. She is set on the Spring break trip in April as the youngest is going on a school trip so we're without kids for a week. I'm trying to put 2-3 routes together for that week so we can choose last minute depending on weather. Thanks for the invite, it's on my list for retirement in a couple years. We're gonna try to make Don's MD in June, and maybe one more before school starts this year.
  22. Hope all is well with your niece. I'd love to retire without ever seeing another one of these things.
  23. I'm hoping that the slow speeds there will distract her from the speeds we run the rest of the trip. This is sort of a test trip for her to see how much traveling we can do on the bike after retirement, we're both on the countdown. I think I've had about enough fires and wrecks and hope she's about done with the 3rd graders.
  24. That's my underhanded tricky plan to make her like the ride. I hope to spend a lot of time on the bike out west after we retire. I have to get her hooked on the bike and then figure out how to get her out of the classroom, teachers have a tendency to get addicted to the school and stay forever. I'm glad she enjoys her career but 30 years should be enough by my thinking. (then again I never was the star pupil)
  25. Yeah those high elevation temps are what I was wondering about. She loves the natural sights but not the cold.
