  1. Here too. Rivers are out, the dams are dumping all they can into the Ohio, and we have a huge storm coming today. In that pic of my bike I ASSumed there was gravel in front of the LBL sign and nearly got the bike stuck. The ground is rotten everywhere.
  2. Nary a flake to be seen. With 50 degrees and the sun poking through the clouds I went riding.
  3. Camper is sold.
  4. If it ever quits raining around here I'd be glad to run over and check it out for a member that's interested. I'm sure he's not going to want to set it up in the weather we've had lately. I'm not familiar with these things but I do know trailers and can check out the construction of the box. I'm not comfortable publishing somebody else's info on an open forum but will pass along the phone number.
  5. I PM'd you contact phone number.
  6. Somebody beat you to it Puc https://www.amazon.com/Blazer-C6304-Round-Wireless-Towing/dp/B00BJEICDS/ref=asc_df_B00BJEICDS/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=312123707036&hvpos=1o1&hvnetw=g&hvrand=3075279633580212102&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9014666&hvtargid=pla-434880174929&psc=1&tag=&ref=&adgrpid=58868508141&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvadid=312123707036&hvpos=1o1&hvnetw=g&hvrand=3075279633580212102&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9014666&hvtargid=pla-434880174929
  7. All the tent trailers I've seen around here are priced $2500-3000. I've never messed with one of these but I can't see there being much to the box. Unless it's a rotted out POS. With a $400 asking price I bet 300 would buy it. If I wasn't dealing with this shoulder surgery and not able to work on it I'd think about grabbing it, repairing, and flipping it. May do that anyway. With the health issues we have we're more into hotel beds and hot showers so we'd never use it.
  8. I can't get the pic to load but there's a Time Out near me on FB for sale dirt cheap. The ad says the tent is perfect and always stored indoors, the box needs work. $400 for a bike camper needing some work sound good, the ad shows it set up. I don't see us ever using a camper but I'd run over and look at it and get pics if someone on here is interested.
  9. The sun is out today, almost forgot what it looked like. I couldn't stand it any longer so I bundled up and at a brisk 39 degrees tried the tire out. I got up to 80 for a few minutes until I started losing feeling in my fingers and it was as smooth as I could ask for. I won't try two up until I get some more time on it.
  10. Midwest, south of the Ohio river. Very little salt used around here. You never hear of frames rusting here and you can do brakes without a BFH to knock em loose.
  11. They've found a way to make a Ford truck even worse. Who'd a thunk it:cool10::cool10:
  12. S.Tyler I've tried several times to respond to your post. 3 truths? Hit me. I'm ready........ I think.
  13. For some reason I can't respond to individual posts. I would like to know as much as possible of what I'm up against. I've heard therapy won't be fun but that's about it. I've already been diagnosed with osteoarthritis in several joints so I'm sure that's gonna be fun too. I'm anxious to hear the drs opinion about crawling around dragging hoses and swinging sledge hammers and axes.
  14. Well Puc I don't plan on any 150 foot jumps, I remember what ramping Tweeksis did for ya last year. From what I understand the labral tear is a bigger problem than the rotator cuff. I didn't ask doc about heal up time or what it'll do to my firefighting yet. I'm not sure I'll ask about riding, I've never seen a dr yet that didn't back up when you mention that word motorcycle. I'll probably play that by ear and jump on when I feel like it. If I don't ask maybe momma won't yell that I'm not listening to the dr. The last shift I worked was Christmas Day, shouldn't have been there then but if I took off one of the young guys with kids would've been forced into missing Christmas at home. I'm ready to get it fixed and back to life.
  15. Anybody here have experience with a labral tear in the shoulder? I go Wednesday to meet with the surgeon to schedule his fixing that, a rotator cuff 50% frayed, and maybe removing some bone spurs. My tear is in the back and somewhat unusual according to the first surgeon I talked to, he referred me to another dr with more experience with that injury. I've been trying to get some accessories on the bike and have it ready as soon as the shoulder will handle it, waiting for the hitch and passenger peg mounts to come back from powder coater. SOOOOOOo the big question is how long will she be setting in the shop? I don't personally know anyone with the labral repair. I do know this getting older stuff ain't for wimps.
  16. I appreciate seeing others experience, that's the real reason I put it out there. This is my first try with a CT, coming off of a Shinko 777 and then a Michelin. I got 14k out of those two rears added together and while longer mileage would be great I've read a lot about stability and braking with a CT. I like to learn from other's experience before I learn from my mistakes. I'll be interested to hear about your 155 ride thoughts.
  17. It doesn't look like I'll get to check it on the interstate for a while. Weather man says it's gonna be cool and wet for the next couple of weeks. I recently repacked swingarm bearings and while I didn't get to the steering head bearings they feel ok for now. I'm running OEM sized front Shinko and have leveling links installed. I did get up to 70-75 for a very short distance, not long enough to really get a feel for it. I have a shoulder surgery coming up soon so it may not get back out of the shop for a while. I'm hoping to stay with the 165/80/15 so not to lose height with the 155.

    ouch

Hate to hear that. Watch that shoulder, I thought I had a minor shoulder injury last year, going in for surgery in the next few weeks. Don't let it get away from you.
  19. Sorry to hear it. Hope everyone heals well and Tinker is good.
  20. I got the Nexen tire mounted and installed today, up around 100 psi to pop it on. Set the pressure at 40 and went for a short run, winds are gusting pretty bad so I didn't go far. The quick impression I got was WOW. It does feel a little different swapping sides in some short twisties, not bad just different that I'm sure I'll get used to. The ride is very smooth and the emergency stop I tried sold me. It has never stopped that short and didn't lock up even when I tried. I found a stretch with thick woods on both sides to block the wind and let go of the bars, straight as an arrow. I hope to get enough decent weather to break it in good soon and play with pressures to find what I like.
  21. https://www.wvgazettemail.com/news/cops_and_courts/judge-defers-plea-deal-in-murder-trial/article_e40302b2-5db8-514d-a763-20bc8da1142a.html found this with a little googling.
  22. A wet saw will cut down on dust or holding a shop vac hose next to the blade.
  23. That CO stuff will make ya wake up dead.
  24. Maybe Carbon One needs to get ahold of an SVTC.
  25. Hate to bust your bubble but those Ford police cars made me a bunch of $$$$ back in my wrenching days. An idea on your truck issue is to hang some fuzzy dice and carpet the dash with the high front. :stirthepot:
