  1. Very handy piece of equipment. Great for everything from engines to loading heavy things in the truck.
  2. I'm not real knowledgeable on what you need. I recently went dark for the first time and only have a few hundred miles on it. I've never ridden with a sidecar so I'm completely lost there. As far as the wheel I've not heard of a replacement rear that would work, need the gurus on that one.
  3. And you didn't lose the powerball. PS I didn't fill one out either. My daughter is in the running to win with hers in her med school class though, one game out of first. She can win $300 if she wins.
  4. Still got a few cousins in Greenfield and Fortville area.
  5. Since Belmont moved to the OVC it's been a heck of a rivalry with Murray. I really don't follow basketball much but this Morant kid has the country buzzing. I see you're in Indy, I was hatched just east of there in Greenfield.
  6. Our local 12 seed Murray State put a beat down on 5 seed Marquette. I had to eat crow when Yammer Dans W VA beat us last year, sure was fun messing with Dan though.
  7. There are few options to choose from, the BFG is popular and is nearly an inch smaller in diameter giving you somewhat of a lower gear. I went with the Nexen being taller as I installed leveling links and didn't want to lose height. The Nankeng is the same size as the Nexen if I remember correctly. I think there's a couple more but these are what I looked at.
  8. Yep the smart one. I probably play lotto once or twice a year when the pot is huge. That really makes no sense when the small pots are enough to change my finances pretty drastically. Go figure.
  9. You got it right, one step at a time. It's still winter for most of us and everybody is suffering from PMS and rider brain is in overdrive. Give it a month, bikes will be rolling and the suggestions will slow up a little. As far as the PMS we get to ride most of the winter here but I'm 2 weeks post-op and the bike won't get to move for at least another 6 weeks. I don't know how those snow bound Yankees park them half the year.
  10. Nobody won it so I guess I'll try again. I'm persistent.
  11. KY is pretty easy with only an ID-OD inspection needed. You take it to Sheriff's dept where they compare the VIN to the title and record the odometer reading. Vehicle vin only. It costs $5 to do it at the office or a little more if a deputy comes to you. The biggest headaches I've seen are if you don't have the seller sign the proper transfer paperwork which have to be notarized or the sellers name has changed. I ran into that on my RSV when the seller had remarried and signed her new name on the title. It was instate but 75 miles and a couple counties away. It took me two days to get in touch with her (that scared me) but she just faxed a copy of the marriage license to our courthouse and all was good. Another weird one was an older Mustang I bought for my oldest, transfer went fine but the new title came in showing less mileage than the car. 10,000 less if I remember right. I called the courthouse and since the car was 15 years old they didn't worry about it. I sold it to a friend for his daughter later and disclosed that, she crashed it so no big problems.
  12. I matched one number, that won't buy no bike parts.
  13. Is that the Vtwin model, air cooled, belt drive.......... never mind.
  14. Nah it's not your typing I just said it with a lot fewer words. :happy65:
  15. If the frame is toast I'd block up the engine and cut the frame away from it.
  16. The RSV has a gravity petcock OEM but that raises a good question Puc. Has anyone here retrofitted a vacuum petcock to insure against hydrolock? Should be an easy mod and good insurance. You've got what little brain matter I have left spinning Puc. I leave mine on without problems so far but who knows in the future. Now back to regularly scheduled programming.
  17. It's a little unconventional but there shouldn't be pressure up there so as long as it doesn't leak :confused24:
  18. Look where wires come out of the case, common leak. Bottom bolt of middle gear cover should have a copper crush washer, another common one.
  19. Intake.004-.006 Exhaust .006-.008 These are the tolerances in the book. Definitely want to set to the high side for long range. I bought the gaskets from Skydoc and got to use his shim kit. I recommend doing similar, by having a variety of shims you can change each one as you get to it instead of checking and recording all 16 and then going back thru to switch around. I needed two shims not in his kit so had to wait a few days to finish but it but it went much easier than I anticipated. I printed the instructions from the read only library, got Skydoc's kit, and another member sent me the shims I needed, so with the help of VR I got the job done. With 43-44k miles I had several on the low side of tolerance with none being critical. I took the time to push them all to nearly full gap so should be good for a long time. I'm with the others if you're almost to the valves invest a little more time if for no more than peace of mind.
  20. How about finally answering that old 1st gen/3rd question, or lining up all three. :witch_brew: Sorry I had to do it. I'll be there to see it even if doc's still shaking his head at me.
  21. Got somebody to get even with? Dump it in their tank:rotf:. I usually burn it but I live in the sticks where it doesn't bother anyone.
