  1. Just walked in the house. Between idiots, accidents and construction took 13 hours to go the 700 miles today. Had a great time looking forward to getting together again. Pictures and video to follow when I get rested up. Ron
  2. Tina and I would be interested if we can get the time off, had a great time last year. I think the extra days would be nice for those who travel from pretty far away.
  3. Did you check to see if it is just the valve core leaking? I remember a couple people thinking it was there shock that was bad and it ended up being the valve core.
  4. Sorry for your loss, it's never easy but especially when it is unexpected. Prayers for you. Ron
  5. Tina has been asking about highway pegs for her, since nobody is making aftermarket parts for the Star Venture. I decided to make my own design. She wanted her feet to be out more than forward so this is what I came up with. The floorboards still fold up out of the way when I'm riding solo.
  6. It is water image transfer.
  7. Between the rain and wanting to ride when it was nice out, I finally got a chance to get the bike cleaned up. I also decided to try my hand at hydro dipping my side covers instead of polishing them.
  8. I started to polish my side cover but decided to hydro dip them instead.
  9. I think he is talking about the couple standing behind Skid.

    Sold second gen

No just sold mine this evening, the one you saw joined a few days ago. I did give him the information to join and encouraged him to do so.
  11. Thought that I would never get rid of my 99 but after getting my 2018 third gen I only put about 1,000 miles on it last year. Setting around that much isn't good for any bike. Hope the new owner enjoys it as much as we did. Here's a video of the new owner driving it away. 20230412_173913.mp4
  12. Just called Seasons Inn and they told me that they will be closed that week.
  13. Hopefully were headed to Blairsville Georgia in mid August. Ron
  14. Hopefully that was the problem and she heals quickly. Prayers for her and your family.
  15. Prayers for speedy recovery and good test results. Ron
  16. Prayers for a speedy recovery. Ron
  17. The front caliper that I put on the rear was the original two piston caliper off of the front of my second gen. Ron
  18. I installed the Road Star four piston caliper on the front of my 99 along with larger master cylinder from a Road Star. I then took the left front two piston caliper and installed it on the rear, I also installed one of Rick butler's proportioning valve in the rear brake line. The rear combinations put the rear braking right where I feel it should have been from factory. Ron
  19. Congratulations hope you find the time to enjoy it.

    New to me bike

While touring the Hannigan facility the owner showed us a gray one that they were putting a sidecar on. They haven't received any orders for a trike yet.
  24. Finally pulled the trigger on a 3rd Gen Venture to go along with the 99. So far we have put about 4,500 miles on it since Christmas eve and love it more every time we go for a ride on it. Averaged about 41 mpg going out to Western Kentucky Rally and back. So far we haven't had any real issue with heat but the warmest temp we have rode in was about 90. I won't be selling the 99 but most of our riding will be on the 2018. Ron
