Evan Posted September 21, 2014 Share #12 Posted September 21, 2014 Great video. Remember it all, including the Geritol adds. Also remember the 5 cent ice cream cones back then. My mother worked at a dairy bar during the 50's so I often got my cone without having to pay.

The Tooch Posted September 20, 2015 Share #22 Posted September 20, 2015 Did I see Flip Wilson in there towards the end? Yes you did.....dressed as his character "Geraldine"!? This is the 2nd time I've seen something about the 50's that they have posted Flip Wilson in? He was in the Air Force in the 50's never really started acting till the early 60's and got his big show in 1970 "The Filp Wilson Show" he invented "Geraldine" for that show......don't know why he keeps being placed in the 50's? I did like his comedy........ The 50's post was great!
Venture n Dixie Posted September 21, 2015 Share #23 Posted September 21, 2015 31 cents for regular? I was paying that in 1969 when I started riding. 29 if they were having a gas war.
