  1. Got home safe and sound from meeting up with these mutt’s……except Tammy of course……..over 6 hours of riding in that crazy heat I’m bushed…..I guess you were worth it. So good to get to see some of the old gang it was WAY to long.
  2. Hey this sounds good I’m going to try and make it. It’s a bit of a ride for me now, coming from Midland.
  3. 1st time I’ve been on here in a very long time…..again! Guess I deserve to have missed this. Rats!
  4. Welcome. I’m also in Midland, 64, and retired
  5. Hey Puc that is a great song and I always liked it and North to Alaska. Did you know that the Battle of New Orleans was the Americans biggest win of the war but was really all for nothing? The battle took place.....Two weeks after the War of 1812 officially ended with the signing of the Treaty of Ghent. The news just hadn’t got down to New Orlean yet!
  6. Happy Canada Day! Ben. Going to be a little different this year with all the canceled Events and no major Fireworks. Everything is a little strange this year.......
  7. Glad your OK. This might be of interest regarding your wrench..... http://progress-is-fine.blogspot.com/2014/04/vanished-tool-makers-herbrand-company.html?m=1
  8. Hey thanks Puc feels good to be back I’ve been calling her “Ranger” as in Yellow Power Ranger........!!
  9. I was in the same boat after my Cancer treatments and being in remission now. I had some problems with my legs after the Radiation and Chemo treatments, which had me thinking I wasn’t going to be riding again. I started looking at 3 wheels and was leaning towards a Can Am Spyder. But I just felt I wasn’t ready to ride a tricycle yet. I pushed myself really hard in my rehab and got to the point I figured I could handle two wheels again. So I bought a 2010 GoldWing from a friend, I knew the bike really well, I was even there when he bought it. I’ve followed that bike all over North America, I know how he treats it and looks after it, he is very fussy! It has everything I want on it and pretty low mileage at 78,000. Being a friend he gave me a very good price. The colour isn’t one I would normally have chosen but like I said, I’ve been looking at it for a number of years and kind of liked it now. At least no one has an excuse for not seeing me! (For some reason he got it in his head he wanted a BMW?)
  10. Are you sure you were logged in? If you’re not logged in the signatures will come up as “hidden content”, I don’t know why but they do. Just FYI.
  11. I check on the site a couple of times most days. Don’t post much anymore just haven’t got much to say as far as motorcycles go. I sold mine in the spring and I’m now bike-less for the 1st time since I was 14 years old! The big “C” caught me by surprise this spring, so all my time has been spent with hormone therapy, radiation treatments and right now I’m going through Chemo to beat this thing. I did buy myself a Mustang Convertible so I could still get some wind therapy and I do enjoy it but it’s just not the same thing. If it all works out for me I’m really considering a trike next spring. (I’ve lost my hair from the Chemo and could really use a nice cap for a cover!)
  12. Hi Guys Update on the Tooch.....I won’t be able to attend....the Chemo stuff has knocked me on my butt. I’m not nauseous or sick but very tired and I can’t walk around very much without getting the spins and needing to sit or lie down, to make the room stay still. Obviously I can’t be driving and generally I don’t feel well right now. Sorry, I can’t make it, cause I know this would be fun. I’ll do my little rain dance for you! Can’t stand up long enough to do a long one! My Mustang hasn’t turned a wheel in well over a week!
  13. No mine is the Blue Mustang.....interesting story on the Vette the guy that owns it actually won it! He was doing an oil change on his old car and had bought several litres of “Castrol” oil he opened the twist cap on one of the plastic bottles and it said something but he wasn’t sure what. The bottle didn’t have any oil in it, and was weighted somehow to feel full. He wasn’t sure what was going on with the bottle but he still needed a litre of oil and went back to the auto parts store to get another bottle. He noticed the signs advertising a contest to win a Corvette if you opened a bottle of Castrol Oil and it says, “You’ve Won!” There was a 1-800 number to call if you got the winning bottle. So he called and after jumping through some hoops, he was award a brand new Corvette. I really liked those Dodge Magnum’s when that came out....hot rod station wagon was pretty cool. I’m not sure if 2 wheels will be in my future again, I’ll have to wait and see how my health goes......never know.....maybe or maybe a trike.
  14. There was another guy who was supposed to come but at the last minute he couldn’t make it....would have added a 1983 Chev Camaro Z28
  15. Had lunch today with the retired guys I ride with, we have done thousand of miles together all across Canada & the USA on our bikes. For today’s lunch we decided we should all bring our other toys. It was almost as much fun as a ride and pretty COOL!
  16. I would be interested in attending this little get together but I would be caging it. Also I’m not sure how I’ll be feeling after my 1st Chemo treatment, September 4th. This would be a week later, 7 days, so if I could be a maybe? I’d like to say I’m in.
  17. Go to “settings” top right corner next to the logout. Scroll down “My settings,” “my profile,” “edit signature.” Go to town.....
