I have a total of 5 stents. 3 put in in 2012 first 2 were thru the leg. That sucked. But it was winter. 3rd one went thru arm was home same day no restrictions. I had 2 more put in Dec 5 2017 at 3 in the morning thru the arm and was home by noon no restrictions.

Dan dont try and do this by yourself. I was told I was borderline for 2 years. I cut back on my sugar thinking that would suffice. But nope my last a1c test was 7.5. My Doc set me up with a Diabetic Clinic for a 5 week course 21/2 hrs each week. A diabetic nurse taught us all about diabetis and a dietician taught what we could eat and the portions sizes. My wife attended the classes also (she said she cooks for two so she wanted to do it right) I learned you need to eat 3 meals a day and have a snack before you go to bed. The dietician set me up 4 carbs breakfast, 3 carbs lunch, 4 carbs dinner and 2 carbs snack at bed time. You need to eat protien with your carbs. Im on a 2100 calories a day I have lost 29 pounds so far thats more than 10% of my weight so far. I eat everything I did before, but now in the right portions. My blood sugar levels have fallen and have been staying below 110. I go back end of march for a a1c test and see how IM doing. Its not as hard as I thought it would be. Good luck. P.S. join a support group I did they meet once a month. You can learn allot and also get some great recipes and tips.

Had great visit with Don and Patti. They got here yesterday afternoon. We went out to dinner and then came home and kicked back on the deck. They left this morning for Branson to spend a few days at the Big Ceder Lodge then on to Eureka Springs. Hopefully we will see them there. John

Well I have to go to Mountain Home tomorrow for a Doc appt. and wed to the vet for my dogs yearly shots. So one more trip down wont make or break me. lol Sharon and I would love to come down and meet you. Do you have a place to stay? We live about 25 miles north of Mountain Home. We have a guest Cottage your more than welcome to use.

A razor hasnt touched my face since Nov 3, 1978. Thats the day I got out of the Army. My wife has never seen me with out a beard. Sometimes I let it grow out in the winter but most times I keep it short. I like mine between 1/4 to 1/2 inch long.

Here is what I started on. Started riding on the street at 151/2. This bike was street legal. Rode it till my senior year in high school. Bought a honda 360 and rode that till I went into the service after graduation.

I stopped in and saw Lowell just before B2 Mom and Dads meet and eat in may. The wife and I visited for a bit. He is still having health issues but is doing well. John

I have had weak enamel on my teeth my whole life. In my 20s I had 13 teeth crowned. When I had my car accident in 07 I knocked out 5 of my front teeth. That left me with 23 teeth left. I went to Dentist and was told all my crowns needed replaced and needed some other teeth crowned plus a bridge for the front teeth. The grand total 32 thousand. I went and had all my teeth pulled and dentures made at a cost of 4800 dollars. I waited 6 months after having teeth pulled before had dentures made. They fit like a glove after 3 years and like Eck I can eat anything. I can at a later date have metal implant bars put in to snap my dentures to but that isnt cheap either. John

The service tech installed a new capacitor. Then when he tried to fire up the compressor the amp draw climbed sky high and popped my breaker at the electric panel. So he claimed the the compressor was shot.

This last big storm we had our power went off and on like 10 times with in 5 minutes. After that my a/c quit working. I have a Arcoaire YJ High Efficient Heat Pump 4ton. The service tech said that the deice board was bad, a capacitor was bad and my compressor was froze up. He told me that the whole unit needed to be replaced at the tune of 3900 bucks. First off can all these parts be replaced. Second can all these parts all fail at the same time if I didnt have all those power surges within that short time. The reason I ask is if the power surges caused this my home owners ins. will cover it. If they just failed then they wont. Thanks for any help John

I am a member of Ancestry.com So I am always looking for relatives. Thats how I found Wetzel McCoys family tree. As I was going thru it a saw a lot of Taylor's in there. My mom is a Taylor, her family came from Tenn. All the Taylors in this Wetzel McCoys family tree are all from with in 100 miles from where my Moms family came from. So I need to do some more research on this family see if there is any connection. Searching for long lost ancestors is fun. John

Miles you are absolutely right it was all vetter equipment added by the dealer. I all so had them add the stereo system that bolted into the vetter fairing at the bottom of the shield. It had a radio/ 8-track player. lol

I can still remember my longest ride in 24 hrs. Back in 1978 I was in CA home on leave my dad and I stopped in at the Honda dealer to pickup a part for his bike. By the time we left I was riding a brand new 1978 full dress Gold Wing. I rode it back to Fort Campbell, KY. I ETSed out of the Army Nov 3, 1978 Left Clarkesville, Tn That morning and did not stop till I got to Flagstaff, AZ 23 hrs and a little over 1500 miles later. I did a lot of 8 to 9 hundred mile days on that bike back in the day, but now days 600 is the most I wanna go in a day. lol John

Thanks guy's. I wasnt sure on the springs. I had checked progressive's site but wasnt sure if it was for one side or for pair. When I drop off my bike I will ask why their price is so high and go from there. John

My left front fork seal started leaking. I called the dealer nearest me in Springfield, Mo. They quoted me 5 hrs to do both forks @ 69.00 a hour for labor. Thought that was a fair price. I was think about having new springs put in they quoted me 200 dollars for the progressive springs is that fair price? My bike has right at 50,000 miles should I have them replace steering bearing also while they have it apart? I called F4 yesterday and left a message waiting for them to call me back. I need a new wind shield bad so thought this is a good time to have it replaced. Im dropping it off tues they are about a week out on service but that will give them time to order all parts. I should get bike back just before B2MomB2Dad's meet and eat. John

I remember back in 05 when I joined ( if my memory is still good:rotf:I was under 50 then) I was like member 370 something. Then we had the big crash of 06 and we all had to rejoin:doh:

The wife said I can go. So Im in missed the last 3 because of being in Hospital. June is not a good month for me . lol Hopefully got it out of my system this year. Been 3 times already so Im ready to go.
