As I mentioned awhile back, I recently had my carbs synched, rear drive serviced, head bearings serviced and adjusted and new Metz Commanders installed. I love how the Metz track and the twisties are a WHOLE lot more fun. The bike leans itself into the turns (or so it seems) and all of the wobble is gone. Low rpm power is much improved and the bike is very pleassurable at all speeds. A problem though. Reat tire has a slow leak. About 5lbs per week. When we pulled the tire off the rear, it was full of green Slime. What a mess. I have inspected the rear tire and found no nails etc. Ran soapy water all around tire and rim, and checked the valve stem. No apparent leaks. Because the PO had installed Slime, I am suspicious of a leaking rim. Anybody with experience with this sort of problem and any easy fixes short of wheel replacement? Will Ride-On work for this type of problem? DJ

I have the Barron's risers and am not happy. So I'm looking at getting some bars and doing a mod over the bad weather. Anyone have some good pics of the bars installed, showing them from the side and year? I'd like to see what they look like installed.

Okay. This is sure to draw several opinions but I'd be happy to read them. I'd like to outfit my 04 RSV with new pipes and I'm not sure which to buy. I'd like a little more of a throaty sound without it sounding obnoxious. In other words I don't want people (especially my neighbors) to look at me when I drive by and bad mouth me like I bad mouth others with loud pipes. I saw a recent discussion on here about the Khrome Werks (sp?) but was wondering about what others have installed and liked. Thanks in advance Wayne

The other night I was rummaging through the trunk on my Venture looking for one of my gloves. All the while I was thinking how nice it would be to have a trunk light... well today I installed one. I went into Costco (Price Club) and picked up a package of Wireless LED Puck Lights, 4 in a pack for $14. Batteries included. They have a peal and stick Velcro back and installed in a minute. The light also has a sensor that if I want I can set it to come on automatically when I open the trunk lid... or I can just turn it on manually by touching the top of the light itself. I’m not sure how well the peal and stick will stay attached to the trunk lid on a warm day but time will tell. If it falls down I’ll put on some 3M two sided tape, that will keep it in place. I do have a small flashlight that I carry but this is so much nicer. Works great!

If you order one of these inspect it very carefully when it arrives. If you are using it as running and brake lights, there should be three (one on each end and in the middle) that light as running lights. There are eight, four on each side that come on as brake lights. I was installing mine today and found out that the eight were never installed on the light board.

Ok, New bike, new world of differents issues, of course I prefer these new problems than the olders. Situation: Get the Star4772 (Joe) 1997 royal star (6300 miles), it comes with mounting passing lamps bar (No passing lamps), wind deflectors hardware (No deflectors included) and installed leather saddlebags and non installed plastic saddlebags. After digging around, got the missing parts: Deflectors, Passing Lamps Not the big deal, now apart from pay the 88$ for the dealer installation someone knows how to align the passing lamps. It seems impossible to relocate the lamps one you mount both the lamp and the turning light on each side. The beam is lighting the floor around 7 to 9 feets on front of the bike. Suggestions???? (Please nothing related to put 88$ on a dealer...)

I have the fairing apart and am looking for the plug in for the CD player. There are plugs color coded with red, white, blue, yellow, and gray. What is the plug for the CD player? Or is it somewhere else? Or has this one had a CD player installed and still has the wire and it hasn't been removed?

Alright. Who knows some electronics gurus up for the challenge? Anyone know a 12-year old electronics genius? Or a ham radio operator that loves tinkering. How do I get the two of these to work together? http://pinouts.ru/Devices/ipod_pinout.shtml or http://www.ipodlinux.org/Dock_Connector To work with Clarion 13-pin C-bus http://www.ultrajosh.com/images/Clarion_C-Bus.gif Any ideas? The goal is to have the dock/recharge for the iPod work with the installed system.

Have 2, a custom and a Markland. Both came with '88 parts bikes I sold, but neither was installed. I can fit them, but I'd like to see how other first gen trailer hitches are installed. Looks like there are several options for the front connection, some move more than others. Looks like the connections under the saddlebags might require a longer bolt, or some spacers. Shoulda gone to Ft. Collins and got my own photos.

Those of you who have installed your SH: What percentage did you program into it? Would the recommended -5.5% be good enough? Are they all (RSV) off the same amount? Thanks.

Is this a previously know issue? Where should I begin looking? Glad I got them running lights installed. They worked wonders! I drove 43+ miles using them. They are quite bright.

I have just had my 05 RSMV into the shop where I had to insist on a new clutch basket because of the chirping. The dealer ordered and installed it, I had requested that he order ( i forget which one I was told about on here) not sure if he did or not, I was told that yamaha made four different ones for this problem. IT is louder than before, and when I returned to the dealer he told me that it was a one time fix from the factory and they would not do it again at there expense.Question...who has had it done and was the results satisfactory? What part number was used? After I get some more info IM going right to factory rep. I also had the exaust leak on the right Y and after much arguing with the service manager I asked for a second opinion from the factory and was told that the factory does not get involved in such matters. I knew It was Bull*%#$ he was feeding me so I told him I would contact the factory myself, all of a sudden my exaust pipe was ordered and installed.
