  1. Sorry it took so long to get these up, but here are a few more pics of the international rally at the hub. Nannaof6 took these. http://s105.photobucket.com/albums/m232/kebranton/The%20Hub%202009-1/ and here http://s105.photobucket.com/albums/m232/kebranton/The%20Hub%202009-2/
  2. I have never done this before so I hope it works. http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=5518&id=1820937655&l=3fe3ed09e0
  3. Got some good pics, posted them to my facebook acct. http://www.facebook.com/editphoto.php?aid=2029893#/album.php?aid=2029893&id=1333587945&ref=nf
  4. called randall at hub to touch base...and he said theres a few people there already......some people are anxious to get started i guess..... i think we are going to go ahead and head down later tomorrow afternoon now instead of waiting til sunday so we can get settled in before the masses arrive and want their tshirts and stuff..... we most likely will go back up to lamberts to meet the others for lunch still.
  5. I know this may too late to reach a lot of folks and I apologize for that, but would anyone like for me to throw my CarbTune in? We will be arriving at the HUB on Monday.
  6. Saturday..6hours until i leave for the HUB. From west suburbs of chicago, I355S to I55 to STL to overnight. should be there about 10pm. (I would be gone already, but theres a wedding to go to today. should be on the road by 4pm) Sunday..Hopefully hook up with Bongobobny and Danob11, and Wrongway and I don't know who else, to ride to Lambert's for lunch, and on to the HUB. Looks like the rain Should be through in front of us. (I hope) Anyone else going on a similar route? I would welcome the company if the routes or schedule are close. Drive safe, and enjoy the journey!!!!
  7. have had some questions about beer. if you want beer or hard liquor, bring your own. it is a dry county. if you can't bring it do to space we will make a beer run. there will be no shortage of beer. here are the rules on drinking at the hub. you must not walk around with an open beer. you have to drink it out of a cup. randall specified this and we don't want him run out of business. randall said he will also furnish us with beer if we want. all he asks is follow that simple rule. remember, drink the beer out of a cup, when outside of your room on the hub premises. also i'm sure we will have some confusion here and there. no matter how much planning we did. nothing ever works as planned. if anyone needs help or has a problem see me or one of the committee members and we will do our best to help. this is all the members meet and if we all work together it will be a winner. see you all there. bill :clap2:
  8. Snarley Bill or whoever, Priscilla is driving to the HUB so she can stay in Missouri and visit family after the rally, therefore we are able to make a beer run on the way up. If someone will either answer this post or pm me and let me know if you need for me to buy beer on the way up, we will take care of it. I don't know how the HUB is set up to keep beer cold, anyone know?
  9. well i finally bought a new acer aspire one net book. haven't got a clue whether it is good or not. i wanted something for traveling so i could bug you all on the road. i will bring it with me to the hub. i will definately need a computor wizard for help. maybe i can con don into showing me how to use it. i will trade beer for help. it has 2gb ram, and an 11.6" lcd, 250 gb storage. just the right size to carry on the bike. see you at the hub don.
  10. I spoke with the hub this morning..... Plans are for the big dinner wed night to be an all you can eat prime rib buffet !!!! This was included in your registration. The BBQ Tues. night....(dont know the menu yet) will be $10 per person. This will be a pay The Hub if you attend. we had approx 64 who said they would attend, they will make sure there is enough for 80. For those who want easy in and out meals: They will have a breakfast buffet each morning for us.........which will be $6.95 They also will have a buffet of some type each evening with a variety of main dishes each night ( catfish, pork loin, etc) cost will be $10 or you can eat in their restaurant . Or go elsewhere if you wish. ***************************************************************** Also they 5 rooms available at the hub right now from cancellations.......i believe they are all King rooms. so if anyone made reservations elsewhere that would like to switch over tot he hub...give them a call.......800-597-9963

  13. We need to get as close a final count for the rallys big dinner on wed night into the Hub the beginning of next week...... anyone who is going to be attending the dinner that DID NOT register, it would be great if you added a post to this thread with the number who will be attending and paying us there for your dinner. We have 88 registered people for dinner as of right now Thanks guys, we appreciate your help on this so the Hub can plan accordingly
  14. Just to put this out there. We are leaving St. Louis area Sunday morning to get to the Hub. Takes about 5 hours according to mapquest. We do plan on going through Springfield, Mo. and stopping at Lamberts on the way for lunch (Mmmmmm Lamberts ). If anyone wants to come by the house Saturday and ride with us, or meet us along the way, let me know. See you there.
  15. Does anyone know if the hotel located at The Hub provides internet access in the rooms by means of a router or cable hookup? I will be arriving there Saturday and need to review work stuff on-line, time permitting of course. If not, no need to drag my laptop along. Appreciate any info anyone can provide.
  16. Jude just started a new job so we won't be able to make it to the Meet this year in Arkansas. I had reserved a king room at the Hub. Anybody wanting it PM me and we can switch it to your name.

  18. We hope to be at the Hub by noon on the 4th. (cannot leave until banking done on 3rd) Question: On the 6th, is that the day for everyone to leave or do most people leave the morning of the 7th. Reason: We plan on leaving the Hub and heading to Lake Guntersville State Park in Alabama for 2 nights, so trying to plan itinerary. Then heading to the Dragon and Pigeon Forge for one night......Thanks

This will be handled on a first come basis. The 1st email or PM I get will get the room.
  20. hi all i have to inform you all. that with much regret. sarah & i will not be attending this years '09 international rally at the hub. i had pm snarley bill a few days ago to let him know. sarah & i had been working on some m/c games for the kids. thanks to all who had sent me suggestions for different bike games. we had picked out a couple & were looking forward to puting them into use. again sorry but some personal issuses have come up that will keep us from attending. best reguards don c. & sarah
  21. for all those that may not know about it randall at the hub is going to bbq for us on tuesday night of the meet. if you are going to attend the bbq go to vr polls and vote, so we can get a count. it will be pay the hub when you eat. randall really enjoys entertaining the bikers and he volunteered to do this for us. thanks bill
  22. I have the rear wheel off to install a Car tire on it and I thought I would grease the Hub pins while its off. However... I can't get them out. They won't budge even a little. I've tried the dual Pry bar... Tried WD40 and a hammer... Is there a trick I don't know? I soaked it down with WD40 before calling it a night. Hopefully tomorrow it will come loose.
  23. I noticed my new '06 RSV has the clicking from rear wheel when backing (and even moving fwd). I've seen a number of threads that seem to point to needing the Clutch Hub Drive Pins and maybe the Drive Splines greased. How long should a dealer need to do this job? I'm thinking of having it done while on vacation but wanna know what to expect for time and dollars. Also, this isn't covered under warranty by any chance is it?
  24. just got back from the final run to the hub, to tie up the loose ends. shared a room with la pryor, so we got the first hand scoop on the accommodations. the room was nice and large and had a refrigerator, microwave, coffeepot, kingsize bed ( i had a room with single bed). i ate lunch and dinner there and my meals were great. had a slight malfunction at dinner on the service but they took care of it. randal and his wife, the owners bent over backwards to make our stay a-1. hit alot of rain going down, and out ran the rain coming home. the ambassador recruited some new venture riders. all in all it was a great time, and we got to see buddy's new wing first hand. really nice. i think the 09 rally is going to be a great success. looking forward to seeing everyone there. bill
  25. i'm getting loaded for the hub ( the bike that is). the bus leaves st. charles, at 5am tomorrow morning, if anyone wants to ride along. guess i will take the rain bike. looks like some possible showers. which one is the rain bike, you may ask? it is the dirtiest one in the garage, the v-star. haven't washed it since last summer. who all is coming? i got a rough idea. if anyone wants beer that is staying over it is a dry county and the hub will have ice so bring your own. see you there about 11 am. bill
