My husband, Alan, is trying to re-build a 1982 Honda CB900 (Bol'D'Or) and the price of a head gasket is up at $AU200 Can anyone give us a web site, or contact where we might get it cheaper. He's about ready to with the way this re-build is going. Sometimes doing old bikes stops being fun:crying:

i just bought an 07 venture and i love the ride i moved up from a v star 1300 tourer. how do you know when your carbs need to be synched what are the symptoms and how often should you check them. also would it be worth getting the tools needed for the job or cheaper to let someone else do it? Bryan

is anyone interested in a venturerider.org windshield decal. if so log in here. i will have some made up and just charge postage and cost to have them made. if there is enough interest i will work a design out and post it for your approval and then take orders. the more i get the cheaper they are. bill

How's this for excellent speed control? I don't know about you, but this would slow me down ! People slow down and try to "straddle" the hole .... This is actually a speed control device that is in use. It is much cheaper than speed cameras. Pretty clever - especially when moved around each day. Isn't art wonderful ?

I am looking at the street pilot 2720 and the 2820, who has these and how are they? I have found them alot cheaper than the zumas and if they do the same job and alot cheaper? Thanks for any imput.

well my tire balancer build and sell idea went down the river. i can beat the ebay and internet prices but i can't compete with the chinese and harborfreight prices. mine would be better but there's would work fine and be cheaper. so i'm out of business before i got started.

got a question. i have a 50,000 btu salmander, and two kerosene heaters. i use k-1 kereosene in them. will diesel fuel work in place of kereosene? it's alot cheaper and easier to get. i use them in my garage, with ventilation.

i bought a nice wheel balancer on ebay this morning. any one looking for one cheap they have several kinds to choose from. mine was buy now for $95.95, and 15.00 shipping. after much pondering i think it was the most bang for the buck. figuring my time and materials i could'nt build one any cheaper. check them out on ebay. just punch in motorcycle tire balancers, on ebay. a real bargain and looks like good quality. bill

I have a squeak in divetrain of 91 venture royale.It sounds like a squeak you get in u-joint of car,speeds up and slows with speed of bike. Someone indicated the is a auto ujoint the will replace the $100 yamaha part for much cheaper. Can anyone help with the part and/or suggests as to cause of noise if it wouldnt be u-joint? Thanx in advance

I found this oil at O'Reilly Auto Parts for $7.49a quart, which is a excellent price. My mailbox is being flooded with mail concerning gas prices and illegal immigrants. To boycott oil companies or not; to provide amnesty to illegal immigrants or not, etc. Since I have become jaded to the various solutions proposed by the Republicans, Democrats, Sierra Club, ACLU, etc., I have elected to solve the problems as they affect me. It solves both my gas and illegal immigrant problems. I have hired illegal immigrants to push my car. They're plentiful and cheaper than buying gas. Then I pay them in pesos so they have to go home to spend it. I love it when a plan comes together just jt:rotf::stirthepot:

I had it and lost it. Somebody posted about some lights they were looking to buy and mount down on the front fender like the PIAA driving lights. Only they were much cheaper. Somehow I've deleted it. Anyone remember the posting? I like the idea of the triangle effect and being away from my signals.

After seeing what some other people on here are paying for the same bike I put a hold on this one till I shop around some more. Some got a drive out cheaper than this one list for which is 17,399 drive out just over 20,000.There has got to be a better deal out there close to me. Ron

Hi, I just asked about speaker upgrades, now I'm wondering about headsets. What do you guys recommend, or not recommend? I know J&M is the big supplier of these, and they are spendy. They do make one headset that is under $100 bucks including the cable, much cheaper than their other sets. What's the tradeoff - are they really cheesey? Inquiring minds want to know! Thanks, Jeremy
