I recently installed progressive fork springs on my 91 VR. Now I have a fork seal starting to leak. It's making a puddle on the garage floor. Is this common? I'm probably going to have my dealer put in the new seals. The service manager is very VR savi. Any advice? Is there anything else I should have done while they're in there?.

At what age did you retire? Do you just get a company pension or income from your own investments made through the years? Any advice on those investments?

what is the purpose of the plastic covers (2ea) extending completely across both front & rear valve covers. Are they necessary to keep in use? Thanks for your expert advice I've used already.

Hi, I am fairly new to the Venture Rider Org.. Last week I purchased a 1989 Venture Royale. But before I did, I had a post on this site asking for advice on what to look for in a Venture. I cannot believe the help I had received. I really appreciate it. I purchased the bike from Allan, who has kept the bike in really nice shape. He has added alot of nice accessories to it. Besides the oil change I have just done. The bike is just ready to ride. I am finally starting to get used to the weight of the bike, after a couple of tanks of gas. Thanks again and I'm sure I'll have alot of questions as I am new to the Yamaha Venture. Steve:cool10:

I am scheduled for a surgery at the end of next week that will keep me from riding for about 3 months. After that I was planning on shopping around and purchasing a 2006 Royal Star Venture. Well it looks like I found a pretty good deal now so I may purchase before the surgery. The help I need is what to look for in a used RSV. I know it's only a year old and has less than 600 miles but the old adage of "if it seems to good to be true it probably is" keeps kicking me in the butt. Any advice on what to look for would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

My clutch has started to slip in 4th and 5th. It's not too bad yet but I know it's time to rebuild it. I have never done it before and I need some advice about what parts to order. The pictures for the Barnett conversion are pretty helpful and I have a manual so I think I will be ok. I have no idea what parts to order though. I have looked online but everything seems to be for other bikes. I have an '89 VR. Can anyone help with what I need to do the job? Any help would be appreciated. I could also use some advice regarding where I can get the parts for a good price. Thanks

Looking for advice on a small cut on my Dunlop Elite II D491 front sidewall. New set of tires last year, only about 2500 miles on them. Just noticed small cut on the sidewall. Doesn't look very deep at all, almost like it was just shaved back...I can see a white color underneath....but doesn't appear to be cut into that. Trying to decide if I should replace it before a 2000 mile trip. It really doesn't seem bad at all, but then again if I'm laying across the highway somewhere I'm gonna be wondering why I didn't just spend the $200 to get it replaced! Any advice or experience with this kind of cut?
