  1. i am very ultra conservative on just about everything but technology.i was brought up with whizzer motorbikes and cushman scooters and old british bikes and xlch's with kick start and magneto ignition.i have an rstd ,v-star 1300, kaw zx14,yamaha majesty scooter and a chinese yamati scooter with a honda helix clone motor.i love them all,and i love new engineering technics and improvements in a product .i still have a place in my heart for the nostagic things.i hope yamaha does'nt come out with the new v-max engine in a new tourer. cuz if they do, and do it right one will be in my garage garanteed. :clap2:
  2. ya know i work with a guy thats anti american and anti christmas. but when it comes to getting off for christmas with holiday pay ,he sure don't turn it down.
  3. whats happened to america? it's called living in the fast lane. everyone is geared for the fast lane trying to pack two days into one.people are so far in debt they have to be in the fast lane to try to make there payments.it's so bad that the mortgage companies are so far in debt they are going under.teenagers are starting families in high school, and are buried before they get married.most will never get out of debt in their life time.my niece when she was 15 went to the doctor for a back ache and the doc told her she was pregnant she had a kid 2 weeks later.he's about nine years old and lived in an apartment almost his whole life.never had a yard to play in.really sad. still glad i'm as old as i am. probably check out before the big crash takes place. :depressed:
  4. heres my take.i think as soon as they get the bugs ironed out on the new v-max it will be introduced to compete with suzuki's new b-king.then look for a detuned version of the motor to go into a totally new from the ground up tourer with an aluminum frame, and shaft drive.and gold wing type styling.the big twin in the stratoliner is to archaic for the bikes of the future. it's going to remain exclusively their cruiser engine. remember where you heard this.i really think this is the most logical plan. got a feeling they would have done something sooner but this new v-max motor may be giving them a few problems.i'm sure they have alot banking on that motor and want it to be right on when they introduce it.
  5. ya know, i was beginning to loose faith in the human race. but after starting this thread i'm finding that there are still some good square thinking people in this country. i guess thats why i have been on so many forums and left. the venture riders are the only ones that seem to care about important values like their country ,the future of their kids, their future, and the future of the people around them.the silent majority has arose on this thread.thank you.bill :clap2::clap2:
  6. i'm not sure if it is a nation wide mobil policy.i think the ones around here are privately owned.i'm trying to find out.we have a big local mall that has been bought recently buy another conglomerate.this year they are actually playing christmas music over the pa system. i have nothing against any one celebrating there different religous holidays.and i don't celebrate christmas to offend anyone.it is just an accepted tradition in this country from day one.if i went to another country that believed different than me i would not be offended.i think this whole anti christmas movement goes much deeper than that.it is part of a ploy to destroy the moral fiber of our country.when the moral fiber is gone it's back to the sodom and gomora way of life. just my opinion.bill
  7. thats a cool idea.ya know i,ve been celebrating christmas all my life.in fact i think christmas has been celebrated in this country since it's begining.all of a sudden the aclu and the commies decide it is not in the best interest of the american people.the silent majority better wake up.our country is being slipped out from under us as we sleep. again MERRY CHRISTMAS to all of you folks. bill:2133:
  8. evel knievel was a nut ,had more guts then sense, etc. but he is a legend just like elvis, and known world wide.he definately made a contribution to motorcyling, and earned everything he had.i salute him for that.rest in peace evel.
  9. i went into a mobil on the run station the other day, and was informed by an employee that they could not have anything pertaining to christmas on display and could not use the word christmas or wish anyone a merry christmas.so i am going to use the dirty word and wish every one a MERRY CHRISTMAS. if that offends anyone you can kiss my okole. bill :clap2:
  10. hey la ,you have a merry christmas too.if ya ain't got nothin to do ride on up here and will drink some egg nog.lol
  11. i've got total hydraulic.if i had air i probably would never use it.by the time i hooked up the air hose i can have it raised up.not hard at all.bill
  12. he is going to have to trust you.the balls in your court .make sure he has good feed back and have him put at least $500 up front within 48 hours of end of auction.don't give him the bike till you have the cash.if you use paypal ,the best way to go, make sure he pays the fee about $132.00. be very cautious and get the cash .there are some slick scammers out there.last of all make sure you are 100% honest when you describe the bike to him.
  13. amen,buddy :clap2:
  14. that was a time of real americans ,when the whole country on both sides of the political fence rallied behind our troops, and honored them to the fullest extent when they came home.what the heck has happened.
  15. i looked at the beemer at a dealer in oklahoma city last year ,and was very impressed with everything but the price.the salesman even said he would deliver it to st.louis for free. i was tempted but was very satified with my rstd.they are very top of the line bikes, with lots of gimicks that aren't neccesary such as the electric center stand.i may have one someday but can't see it in the near future.
  16. okay, heres a true beemer story.i was into cushman scooters big time several years ago.i had a 58 eagle with a briggs vanguard v- twin.it was very fast.me and some friends were riding our scoots in the country and i looked in my rear view mirror ans saw a group of beemers .we were on a long hill.to make a long story short i blew there doors off on the hill.we stopped at a tavern down the rode and they were blown away by our scooters.could'nt believe how fast mine was.turned out to be a really nice bunch from up north. we left the tavern first and one of my buddies ran out of gas.here came the beemers.they stopped and siphoned some gas out of there tanks and got us on the road again.i used to make fun of beemer guys but that changed my opinion. like i said the bike don't make the rider.bill
  17. was at the mall yesterday and saw two men and one lady marine walk by me in uniform and i could tell by the way they carried theirselves that they were proud to be marines and proud of their country.want to thank all our military for the great job they are doing around the world.i doubt if there is a country in the world that is as safe to live in as ours.every time i get out of bed i think of how lucky i was to have been born in the usa, the greatest place in the world to live. i never take my freedom for granted i always think about all the folks who died so i can be the big pain in the butt that i am,and say what i want when i feel like it.thanks bill :clap2:
  18. i'm probably considered one of the ultmate road ragers.can't handle stupidity ,mostly in a car, when it involves mine and my wifes safety. the drivers nowadays don't care about anyone but there self. could never have that 50 cal. gun mounted on my car.lol
  19. orin your open minded and okay by me.the rider makes the bike the bike don't make the rider.as far as parking places go i take up a whole space with my bike.i try to show cagers the same respect they show me.absolutely none.the real personality of the human being comes out when they get in their car.when i drive my car i try to be curteous and obey all the laws . i hate hippocrits and i do my best not to be one.i don't worry about my image on a bike .if people that don't ride don't like me, and my bike they can kiss my butt.,cuz i sure ain't gonna kiss theirs.the cagers are the aholes, i'm not.i don't understand why bikers worry about what non bikers think of them .who the hell are they anyway that makes them so high and mighty.there the ones that run the lights and break the laws and kill us.so there.nail me to a cross.
