  1. Going on at the next tire change.
  2. Has anyone used this setup before if you are do you have the manual for it? It does have an air valve on it. The spring says "progressive suspension 1154 800/900" can't read the writing on the shock:confused:
  3. Here is one on ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/1984-YAMAHA-1200-VENTURE-ZXV1200-IGNITOR-IGNITION-UNIT-/281051144446?hash=item416ff420fe&item=281051144446&pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr:thumbsup2:
  4. I just bought this from ebay. Is anyone familiar with it? I think it is from progressive suspension, but doesn't look like anything on their site. 5. I just got back to a 1st gen and wondered the same thing so I bought a parts bike for $500 and it actually turned out to be a better bike overall than the one I was going to ride.
  6. Got it running today. I used a syringe pumped carb cleaner thru the fuel line to the carbs and let it sit over night. It starts and runs with choke. I will have the carbs cleaned and synched tomorrow, should be ready for the road this weekend. Not a bad deal for a bike I originally bought for a parts bike.
  7. Yes I took the fuel line off at the carbs and got fuel flow.
  8. I have an 86 that I just bought and it will not start. It has to be a fuel issue, it will start with starting fluid or a little gas poured in the carbs. The fuel pump is working and gas is getting to the carbs (line from pump removed key turned on). It has started once and ran for about a minute, really smooth, and quit. Is there something that would cause the fuel pump to stop or just dirty carbs? BTW did swap in a known good pump and same story.
  9. My class has an e-1 error. When the key is turned to acc there is no sound from the system. I used another none good panel with the same results. Any ideas where to start or any known issues that cause this code?
  10. If I counted right we have 7 so far. Any one else need one?
  11. Add me to the list 89 VR. I was getting ready to order one directly, your deal is better.
  12. Sorry to hear that. I was trying to get on the road within the next 2-3 weeks. I just got the bike and haven't ridden in a while and wanted to get in some riding in before I attempt Daytona in March.

  15. The bike is an 89. I just bought and it does run bad at idle and under light throttle. When I ride it is very sluggish at low engine speed as the rpms rise response and power greatly increase. The tach only goes to 1000 after about 10 minutes of ridding, but never any higher. When I shut it down it drops back to zero. I have removed the tach and it moves freely no binding at all. Is there an easy way to check the TCI, also where is it mounted? Thanks again
  16. The doesn't work. If the bike runs a while the tach moves to about 1000 RPMs, but doesn't respond with engine speed changes. I have removed the gauge and it moves freely. Any thoughts.
  17. First thing I thought was "The Flintstones".
