  1. I wear my FF always! At this point in time I've used up my 9 lives.
  2. My 05' RSTD goes about 20 miles after the odometer shows "F" and starts counting up. At the 20 mile mark (or there abouts) it starts to sputter and I have to switch the petcock over to reserve fuel. FYI, I ride 1 up, so the mileage should vary a bit. Hope this helps.
  3. Thought you guys might lke to see this . . . I needed some cargo space that would accommodate my lap top & case (just a bit too big to fit into either of my hard bags) as well as a few other work items. So, I did some surfing and purchased an after market case and then fabicated a bracket to mount it over my rear fender. Check out the attached photos. - Norm. NOTE: I ride solo as my wife has her own ride.
  4. Used a Yamaha rack which uses all the holes except one and a made a plug for it.
  5. 2009 Subaru WRX (tweaked. . . very fast!) 2004 Toyota Corolla S

  7. I've been riding with the stock windshield for 4 years and it gives plenty of protection from the wind. Unfortunately, when riding in mist and fog they collect on it and as it so tall I can't see over it and in the warm weather no air gets to my full face helmet. So, this year I bought the factory 7" shorter version which allows me to see over it easily and allows plenty of ventilation to/through my helmet. Of course there is more wind noise but for the time being I'm happy with the change. Next week my wife and I are going on 1000 mile trip so that will be the proof.
  8. Bob, Per recommendations by the VentureRiders that the rear brake has a habit of wearing down one pad WAY before the other, I checked mine and at about 9500 miles replaced the rear pads jsut before one side would have eaten into my disk! At about 10K miles I ditched the Bridgestones and went with yet another VentureRider recommedation (below) and have been VERY satisifed with the switch! Nice and quiet, better handling, no complaints. Regards, Norm. Avon Venom - Front (AM41) MT90HB16 Avon Venom - Rear (AM42) 150/90HB15
  9. Had the same noise under the same conditions and at 10K miles replaced front and rear Bridgestones with Avon Venoms and all is well!
  10. Can anyone confirm that the Purolator Pure One PL14610 is a valid filter for 05' and newer RSTD's? Thanks!
  11. I have an 05' RSTD . . . Ditto what MORITZ1 stated.
