I have never needed full choke on mine. I usually pull the choke all the way out then push it back in to about half way. Then crank. My guess has always been that to much choke can cause it to flood which is death on a very cold day. As far as I know these bikes do not have a choke unloader so once flooded it is choke off, open throttle and hope. Mike

The RSV is one of the most trouble free bikes ever made. Make sure it runs good when you buy it. Then ride it and enjoy it. Mike

This crap of dictating who is and who isn't going to be able to purchase tickets based on where you live needs resolved in court... It's gone on to long... I understand teams wanting to reward local fans who have supported them all year BUT a fan is a fan is a fan. If they really wanted to help the fans they would limit scalper sales. You know those outfits that buy large blocks of tickets to resell them at exorbitant prices. The ones who seem to get the tickets before anyone else (fan) has a chance to buy them. Mike

I am glad the 49rs won. My feeling is 'if you want to be the best you have to beat the best'. So whoever wins this next playoff game, Hawks or Niners, deserves to be in the Superbowl. It promises to be a knock down drag out battle reminiscent of some of the best in the NFL. Mike

Venture carbs are very reliable. If they didn't need an occasional syncing there wouldn't be anything to do on this bike. Mike

Yep sounds like crud to me. Better pull the engine and strip it down for a thorough cleaning. No seriously though. It is not possible to get all of the oil out of these engines. And for some reason the spec is for maximum capacity. The actual operating range is slightly less. That is unless you want to be cleaning your breather continuously. Not to mention the oil dripping on the ground. It sounds as though you are being extremely cautious and three liters sounds about right. Mike
