  1. Is there a pic or exploded view somewhere of this spacer ?
  2. So drilling and taping the boss we should be able to move our unit into the FJR rear end ?
  3. Hey Brad ? Is there anyway to mount our speedo hardware into an FJR rear end easy ?
  4. Yea, Figure on the bike burying you this time.... You'll wear out before it does.
  5. Check for loose exhaust. Popping can be caused by that also.
  6. George, I actually had to do that a couple of years ago on an older AGM I had in the bike. Walked off and left it with ign on for a week.. It worked. That battery lasted two more years. Just got a new on this year.
  7. Your warranty starts from the day it was first sold. So if the 08 sat on the floor for a year its still got plenty of warranty left.Jumping it should not have any effect on that. I would take it to the dealer and just tell him it stopped working and started doing what it is doing. No need for him to know any details. It just started doing that one day. That's all he needs to know.
  8. That's a great idea Brad, Late August being ? 4th weekend would be like the 24th.
  9. Don't know what to say. Don, We will miss you for sure.
  10. I got to see him in 75 or 76. I forget. Along with ZZ top and a few other TX bands in Austin one summer weekend. It was a great show even back then.
  11. I won't be waiting for Yamaha any longer. If I buy one in the near furture I'll probably buy a wing. Yamaha has really blown it by not taking advantage of the new vmax motor and updating the Venture. You can't make the same motorcycle year after year for 14 years and not at least update it some. I mean come on... A cassette player still and no ABS. That is just plain STUPID of their corporate staff to think they could even do that and stay competitive in the motorcycle touring market in today's times..
  12. Hmm, Selling, 1st gen, let her go... How much you think you will get for the old lady, uh, bike I mean ?
  13. Hey,,,, I ain't ridin no antique.....
  14. If you lost the defrost heater or timer. Then it could just be a build up. Turn it off for a couple of hours. Take everything out of it and defrost it completely the old fashioned way. With a blow dryer. Don't melt anything but get it all warm enough to melt all ice away form the evaporators. Dry it all out and restart. You should be able to get a month out of it before it freezes up completely again.
  15. You driven in Houston lately ?
  16. I'll keep an eye out for it. I remember you said it looked like it had been thru the ringer when you got it so it was likely damaged in shipping. Guess I'll have to start using boxes.
  17. Hey Hal. You can test the cable like this. Just plug it in between your helmet and the lead on the tank . Then plug the black lead into the "Mic In" on the mount. Be sure everything is turned up all the way on the Zumo. Then try it again. If that doesn't work send it back and I'll repair it and send it out to you again. It could have been dmage in shipping if the packing was all messed up.
  18. I seem to remember Don having to hook it up a certain way with the Mic-Mutes. Be sure to check with him too. And since the mic-mutes mutes the mic you will have to turn the mic on before it works with the phone. Just as you would when using the intercom.
  19. We wound up with two of our dogs from people dumping them out here. The last one looks like she full black lab. Jackie was driving home late one night from work and almost ran over the pup on a stormy night. About 8 weeks old when we got her. She's almost 3 now. Come to think of it I guess she is mixed with something because she can be real mean when she wants to be. But she looks all Lab for sure. Brad, You'll probably wind up with more than one.....
  20. How much did you lose Russell ??
  21. Great gun. I just sold a SS 6.5 inch I wish now I woulda kept. Bought a S&W 686. I did trigger jobs on both and I still liked the 608 better. It was a very good gun. What are they asking ? Less than 5 grab it.
  22. When we lived in Stockton my bike would sit in the garage with a full tank for two or three months at a time some winters due to fog. Never had a stuck float on it.
  23. Earl, You are sitting in your house and it gets hit.. The driver is responsible no matter how you look at it because he failed to maintain control. Get a lawyer and make him pay for all of it. i was taught to be responible for my actions. So should he....
  24. Ac would be higher as the rectifiers change it from ac to dc. Half of 25 would be 12.5. So it may not be high enough. But it was 40 years ago I was learning about rectifiers so I could be,,, uh,,, forgetful...
