  1. I picked up my set for like 15 bucks. Just look for the trailer tail/run/stop in the same shape. Same dang thing these guys are selling for over 50 bucks. Like Steve shows. Those are the same thing.

  3. I ran an HID Bi-Xenon on my RSV since 05. Never saw any haze on it, I just this year changed to a LED headlight. The LED is not quite as bright as the HID was in my opnion... Also have a pair of H13 HID's on MY 08 F150 since about March of 09. Still clear as if its glass.
  4. Sounds like the ignition switch going bad.
  5. Use T-111 siding in it. Its designed for outside and is cheaper then Hardie panel.
  6. Why replace a bad design with a bad design. THERE is NO reason these OEM shocks should be going bad other than poor design. Toss it and go aftermarket.
  7. AV is just going to turn the vol up as speed increases. Its not going to set your turn on (start up) volume. I take your trying the thumb wheel on the left side of the control box ? Now you say you don't have a cb ? so there's no CB light ? See on ours if we select CB then we only control the volume of the cb until we hit audio again then we can change the radios volume. If you hold the audio button the unit turns off ?
  8. Had a similar problem. It was the cancel button. Spray all the buttons with some contact cleaner (in the cracks or disassemble the clamp enough to spray up in it). You might get away with just exercising the cancel button. Mine went away when I started doing that.

  10. We have had the same thing. Takes a day or two before they are ready to eat. Give them plenty of water. Get out of the way when they are ready to eat..
  11. In Parallel won't work but if you wired something like say and led in series then that would. Ground from the headlight to the positive of the LED. The led would just have to be able to handle the current. IF either element burned out the led would go off when you switched to the beam. Possibly a relay grounding itself thru the led would work. The relay would carry the load of the headlight.

  16. Don't waste your money. I have the Balled Milled and they are junk. After about two years the chrome started flaking. Looked good till then.
  17. I have hit the rev limit many times. You can tell because it starts missing and the oil light flashes. Never hurt anything because the rev limiter worked. These bikes will go another 700 rpm safely so there's nothing you could have done to it unless you had a Dyna installed and it was set above 7300. Check that the airfilters are clean and that the boxes are buttoned up correctly. Both the first and second gens are sensitive to changes in the airflow via a loose fitting or blockage even in small amounts.
  18. Dump a can of seafoam into a half of gallon of gas. Pull the feed off the tank and put it into the mixture. Turn on the key and let the fuel pump fill the carbs with it if it will. Let it sit for a couple of days then fill the tank with gas and try to start it. You may not have to do anything to them.
  19. If your over half on the sight glass then it may be too high. If your seeing it for sure come from that tube it should be engine oil. But if you check the bottom of the rear shock and it has oil on it you could be losing your shock. They both dump in about the same spot but I think the shock oil was not so black when I lost mine
  20. Sounds like fuel pressure. I would start there.

  22. :doh::rotf: You know. A guy on a first gen tried to outrun me the other day. No, I could not pass him , he wasn't able to put anymore that a foot, maybe two, between us all the way up to about a 100 when we both shut them down due to common sense kicking in.When I put the FJR rear end into it I bet he won't even be able to put the foot or two in there either.
  23. Thanks Dingy. I am going to get one just wanted to be sure the spacer is there. Is it normally there or something you had to add ? I take it any year FJR will be the same as the vmax gearing ? I wasn't going to use the shaft. They just have that as part of the rear end I guess.
