Tell me about it very frustrating to say the least, love the bike but this parts thing is crazy. I know people get down on dealers but what can they do you would think Yamaha would get on the ball.
-
Well I went with the E-3 the bike has been at the dealers since 4/5 I'm still waiting on parts a seal and coupler for the shaft drive. Being new the the venture as an owner does Yamaha always take so long getting parts in to a dealership? The only good thing is the weather has been crappy in NY during my wait.

That's a bummer for Taters hope all goes well but the good news is you better get that feather duster back out............. JB Weld or Gorilla Glue might work also

I don't really have a name but the better half calls it "Her New Kitchen" aka HNK

My 08 is at the dealers for the 4000 mile check-up and a leaking seal on the shaft drive. The question is I have a little over 5000 miles on the stock rear tire, the dealer said I could get another 2000 +/- out of it but seeing they have to take the tire off do I want it replaced right now? it would save $$$ down the road. When they take the rear wheel off is there anything else I should have them do? grease the drive splines & hub pins? check anything? Should I upgrade to the E3 from the stock 404? thanks for any imput.

Mkes no difference Radio or IC volume to "0" can still pick it up, can you relocate the wires? or do something to cover them for more protection from the coils/plugs?

I'm getting a noise something like a clicking noise from spark plugs firing? when you turn the radio volume to 0 you can pick it up in the headset. I think that is what is causing the interference, any idea's??? Thanks
-
It seems as if my radio comes and goes when listening threw the headsets also when it is working the volume has to be turned up more than without headsets. I think there is two settings for IC volume and Radio volume. I also noticed the CB was recieving or doing something because the RX would light up by the headset symbol. Any ideas as to what is going on or is there a certain way to set things up??? Thanks

HEY Dave - Weather this time of year is a crap shoot mornings can be very cold while the afternoons very warm. Not to mention you could run into rain or snow, more rain than snow I would figure. Long range weather puts the temps in the 30's for mornings and 60's in the afternoon. Short story would be bring your cold weather gear you might not need it but at least you'll have it. I live in Angelica, NY now but grew up in Canandaigua, NY, Have a safe trip.

passing Lamp Installs

I went with a toggle switch not the one they sent but a heavier duty one got my switch power (ignition switch) off the low beam wire, really simple with all the help people here have to offer. Now I have to plan my next project. I'll post a picture sometime tomorrow of the passing lamps on the bike. -
Have a safe vacation can't wait to see that new hot rod

passing Lamp Installs

Got them done with imput form Sylvester, MikeWA and Wes0778 Thanks guys. I can even get the fairing off without removing my passing lamps. I have the spacer but couldn't figure out how to get the wires up in the fairing with it on. Just have a couple of pointers well rookie mistakes. When checking the lights make sure you have a fuse in after rewiring the light bulb went off, and it's important to get the right turn signals on the side they belong other than that it was a piece of cake. Now hopefully eveything works after the first bump............
