  1. Hoping things go well for you!!!!!
  2. Thought it was but not sure. Yeh would have been nice but not realistic at near the price you were given. Ma Yamaha should have made an attempt since they make all the other models they do produce. Sorry mean the model companies!!
  3. @FreebirdI also remember early in my membership here that someone was looking into getting a group buy if someone they knew would be able to get something made but never seen anything after that! The closest I have ever got was a Road Star 1600 when I had my 2000 Road Star I owned before my present 2012 Royal Star Venture. Funny thing tho I found it at a Harley Davidson swap meet! The closest I got to a model was a painting of my bike done by my wife's co-worker.
  4. I am also on different Facebook bike websites BUT THIS is the MAIN site I ALWAYS go to!!!! Not any information at all but do mention our site if they need any information.
  5. Phantom Wife and I are sorry to hear this news! I also really appreciate how you keep this site going with all tat you do!!! I have been member since 2002(approximately) and have learned alot about both first and second gen bikes(1987 and 2012 owned) Also have seen less and less participation but also put this down to Covid19 and probably fewer bikes. Also the great loss of some past friends that have left us before their time!!!! I try to post as much as I can to keep in touch with those that are still here and also look forward to visiting with as many members as I can Ike @XV1100SE said last time we got together was at @Marcarls to work on his and my bike valves. That was a good day! All the restriction placed on us here in Ontario really suck as we have a hard time going anywhere! Really miss going to Maintenance Day and New York rallies and also our Canadian rally .Wood have been very interested in the other rallies but because of work and distance was not possible! So now that I have said my 2cents I really hope that things pick up in the near future and you get through your situation!!!
  6. Also here are pictures of bike dolly I got from Princess Auto. Had to modify it so bike would fit. Had to lengthen 6" and kickstand tray out 3". A lot easier to move around the garage. Can move right over to shelving and also move to edge of garage to go for ride. Have had this for a few years but am glad I finally got around to adapt and use.Much easier than wiggling back and forth and holding bike up.
  7. Did my FIRST ride of 2022 today ! Took pictures of both tractors I use for snow to show @saddlebum .
  8. @bpate4home I also don't do resolutions as well as everyday resolutions as they are as hard to keep as any are, things always come into play that tend to change situations and chances to do things and nothing gets done. As @Marcarl knows from seeing what my 2car garage usually looks like he probably won't believe me when I said that one side Phantom Wife can park her car inside for winter. Will try to post pictures later.
  9. Sad to hear this! Condolences to his wife and family!
  10. Rode day before and after Christmas as temp. was a balmy 1deg cel. Snowed couple hours after I came home day before and melted over Christmas day and cleared up day after.
  11. Dec.23 I finished modifying my bike dolly to fit my 2012 Venture. Had to lengthen it by a foot and extend kick stand tray 2in farther out. Will try and post pictures
  12. Was 1deg cel around 11:30am when I went for a coffee run ride .Was out for 2hr and had coffee at Tim Horton's 25klms away then rode around for awhile.
  13. Likewise!!!
  14. @saddlebumAs I have said before the lawn tractors are not used for lawn cutting as there are no decks and one was modified 15 years ago to plow backwards with a 40" blade and the latest one has been modified to hold a 40" Berco snow blower. Both of these are only built to cut lawn not what I use them for! Will post pics when I get them down loaded!! Just got back from a ride(1 1/2hr) to warm up bike so I can see if mods done to my bike dolly are done right. Had to make it alot longer so bike can fit. Had to have supper so haven't had a chance to check yet.
  15. @N3FOL As you state I do try my best to be safe and watch out for others OR Phantom Wife will kill me!!! Snow on ground right now so working in garage right now. Did go to stores yesterday to get her her present tho!! Drove truck and since gas was $1.39cd/ ltr in town, gas 22klm away and on the way to store was $1.30 so filled up truck and 5gal(25.5ltr) gas can($38cd) for lawn tractor.
  16. @N3FOLI also have had same instance happen lately with bike and truck . LOTS of people also driving with daylight lights only(NO rear lights) don't know if they are lazy or stupid! Around here it is supposed to be against law as far as I know but see it all the time. I always ride with high-beam on during the day to hopefully be seen easier! Doesn't always work as I still get people pulling out in front of me! Haven't got out yesterday or today as there are very high winds blowing but hopefully again before snow comes!
  17. Got Phantom's side of garage(when I'm not using) cleared out so she can park car in it but didn't tell her SO when she got up 4am to get ready to go to work she couldn't see her car to remote start to warm up.She checked outside down side of house and lane-way but thought it was gone! Instead of checking garage se woke me up and said car was gone! I asked her twice if she checked garage but she finally said no and went to check. When she come home at lunch she asked why!!!! I said I thought I would be a good husband and let her use the garage and she said why now it is still fine out and your welcome!and why didn't I tell her. I said it was a surprise! I guess she didn't get it as well as all her fellow workers who asked her why I did it without telling her. So when she got home my lawn tractor and snow blower were back in that side. Then she asked if she lost it and of course I said yes if you don't want it I would use it! She said she would use it when it gets more bad weather ! Just tried to be a good husband and share!!!!
  18. @MarcarlWell I didn't have it really clean as Phantom had to park car outside over winter. BUT have just today cleaned 1/2 0f 2car garage enough that she ill be able to park her car in. I can still be able to get snow blower out (modified lawn cutter to mount 40" blower on) after I move car out. Other plow tractor is in other side of garage at the garage door and the bike is in behind tractor but upon better weather it is easy to move around to go for ride. Went for ride yesterday but decided to clean out so Phantom could park @saddlebum is right no matter what I do it happens.
  19. Out again today for windy coffee ride 50klm away. Was around 0deg Cen.(32degF). Then came home to do more garage cleaning .
  20. Haven't had to put liners in chaps yet but have liner in coat. Wear collar neck piece to keep wind and cold from going down neck and back. Haven't found good warm gloves yet. Have tried winter--snowmobile --and lined gloves but the warmest ones I have are a insulated rain glove that aren't too bad except tips of fingers.
  21. Out today for another Timmies Run 40klm away!
  22. I have found that at minus 10 degrees , no wind and a dry road a 15 - 20 minute ride beats sitting in the coffee shop talking about a bike ride ... But I did stop in at coffee shop after the ride to warm up with a hot drink ..And besides that a ride down the road even on a cool day like does the bike a lot of good I agree with this comment! It seems to be a much more spirited ride as bike likes the colder temp! Also does the BODY and MIND good!!!!!!!!!!!! I do not have any heated options on bike or clothing. Just make sure I have liners and extra shirt or my Frog Toggs in saddle bags to put over coat to lessen wind penetration As soon as rain stops I will try to get out again as temp is to be around 5 to 7deg cel today. Was out the other day blowing snow with my modified lawn tractor.
  23. Have a GREAT THANKSGIVING from Phantom Wife and I !!!!!!!!!
  24. Just got back from another 3 hour ride ! Took all the curvy roads I could find and stopped by Timmies to have a coffee and conversation with a couple guys who said they were jellous of me! One guy is just getting into bikeing and the other has 8 bikes in different condition.( no Harleys) A few Yamahas and a Triumph . Took similar ride yesturday and talked to Gold Wing ridder who keeps his bike ready to ride just like me.
  25. I have an AGM battery also and usually leave it on trickle charger for the winter (except when there are clear roads from now till spring and am riding around). I do have a 220v heater in garage but only to take chill off as I go in and out all the time plowing and blowing snow ❄!
