My 2012 came stock with the plug and was told it was for CD player which I would need good luck trying to find one!!!

I also lost the shifter bolt going down highway at 120klm going to U.S. border. Took bolt out of side cover under seat.

I agree also! Took one for test ride when at the New York Rally and didn't mind it at all accept it was V-twin and belt drive. Handled pretty good(didn't notice extra weight). Seemed to have enough power for a tour bike. Price U.S. to Canadian was not great as they were around $26,000 U.S. and around $32,000 to $36,000Canadian.(still around this price) Before I bought my 2012 Venture I was looking into buying a touring Harley and had a loaded Road Star and they WOULDN'T even look at it BUT their friend would GIVE me $3500 so checked and bought Venture at Yamaha and they could ONLY give me $5500 so bought it!

Was grateful to be lucky enough to meet him a couple times over the years and will miss seeing him again(at least until he comes back for a visit). I don't remember having the pleasure of meeting Tips tho.( I know it's the same with some not meeting Phantom Wife also)

@saddlebum I believe the pin-stripper's name you were thinking of was Jay-Bird that was at Maintenance Day in Ohio and at a NY rally a few years ago.

Left arm still a little sore and was slightly dizzy for day and half also slight loss of balance also!!

Phantom and I got our second shot of Pfizer yesterday. she had no problems with either shot. I barely felt first needle and just had the feeling of it for a few days. This second shot feels like someone punched me in the arm every time I move it but not anything else. Guy up the street said his friend broke out all over with painful rash for 4 days. Couldn't even wear a shirt. He could wear a light shirt after 5 days and is better now.

Got to put on a couple hundred klm's before our camping trip so tires are broken in and ready for longer trips.

Just finished cleaning crap off rear rim,driveshaft and left hub. Installed and shimmed saddlebag guards and bags. Now waiting for rain to stop(probably tomorrow) so I can break-in tires. Been off tooo long!!!!

Just got bike back from shop today. New front & rear tires, rear brake rotor & brake pads also new steering head bearings(old bearings had 110,00klms)( rep. was shocked I hadn't replaced bearings before this). Had to replace right side exhaust as muffler broke off from Y pipe(bought used pipes from guy in Brantford Ont. $500)So when all said and done parts and labor were around $2000Can. Now have to put on bags etc. so I can ride again.

dropped pipe off and all gaskets and bearings are ordered.

Just picked up right side exhaust from guy in Brantford Ontario for $500can. Waiting for shop to call back so I can drop it off. They have ordered gaskets to change and bearings for steering head.
