  1. One of our members here purchased a 40 cal Smith and Wesson I believe. I have larger hands as well and this gun fit me well. It is a very nice weapon to shoot, and has a lot of ability for customization. Good stopping power with a nice size round 15 shot double stack clip. I would think very seriously of getting one if I were in the market.
  2. Looks like someone has been racing those, I have seen excessive wear before, but it's fairly rare. For the most part the friction discs hold up very well and I have mic'd used ones at stock new thickness with bike having 40K+ miles on them.
  3. Sure wish I had some time off, about 4 hours to Dallas and I have to work tomorrow
  4. How about these guys....
  5. Yes sir I do, it was 1 year later almost to the day. We were at the kissing bridge in Ontario during the Kitchener rally. I have many fond memories of that rally, it was a great time as well
  6. Jeff and Leslie, I remember all of us praying together in Vogel in 2009. I take us back to that time and reiterate what we said, this will pass and we are not done with you here. Sending all the good vibes we have in prayer to you and your family...all the best to you, we love y'all.
  7. Something y'all have to remember about the south is the pavement composition is VERY different than it is up north. I cut my teeth driving in the winter in Detroit, I drove in it for better than 20 years. Down south there is not the snow and ice equipment available, just no real need to have it sitting around as there are far fewer ice/snow events here. If you haven't been subjected to driving in a particular environment it can be challenging. I always laughed when I saw the bad ass 4X4 fly past me in the snow. Many times later I would see them in a ditch or in a tree. Stopping is the issue, not starting, we have had 2 ice events in Houston this year, that is a LOT for down here.
  8. Let me know if you need a hand, I'm up in Cleveland and have had these things naked more than once.
  9. Let me know if you want some feelers over here in Texas.
  10. No, it doesn't, the links actually raises the rear of the bike a bit and this makes the rake of the front fork a bit better for lower speed handling. I have tried it all with the 2nd gen's, 130 front tire, with and without leveling links. Some will disagree with me, but for my riding style, the stock size 150 and a set of leveling links works the best for me....
  11. That was an AWESOME time, one of my favorite memories from this group of hoodlums!
  12. It's not going to hurt anything, like mentioned the slow speed handling is better, but the highway speeds you'll get blown around a bit more. I have had the 130 on the front of a '99 RSV and touring on the slab was a bit more of an inconvenience. Leveling links on the rear alleviates slow speed handling....
  13. He had PMS something fierce! I had to get out on the bike during the winter from time to time in Michigan to not go postal. I know just how this guy felt
  14. You should have a 150/80-16 on your RSTD, it appears the one you received is a 130 which is the narrower tire. This is what you should have purchased from Dennis Kirk... https://www.denniskirk.com/dunlop/front-elite-3-150-80h-16-blackwall-tire.p543447.prd/543447.sku
  15. All the best to your brother and family
  16. You can use the front right caliper on the rear.
  17. Thanks for the update on Justin and how you folks are doing. Good things will continue to happen, I'm sure about that
  18. It's not bad, like to see how it handles.
  19. 29 in 2 seconds so far
  20. All the best to Jeremiah and the family, kids are very resilient and it sounds to me like he has a good support net.
  21. Hell, looks like I missed the whole thing! I know that youngun will come through just fine. Good to hear you have him back home....and Wes, be good, you know your Momma and Daddy aren't gonna let you get away with much. Hope you feel better soon Buddy
  22. I know this old thread has been brought up recently. I have received several PM's about the RK muffler brackets. I used to make the brackets, but have not made them in probably 5 years. I do not plan to make any in the future either, I just want to let new members that are looking for them know that I'm not the guy anymore.
  23. I have near always (after my 1st wire attempt) run any driving/fog light on it's own separate circuit. I go directly from the battery to it's own designated fuse and then to a relay. I vary on how I power the relay, either through a switch or lights directly to the relay (unswitched) my '86 have driving lights that are on all the time that the ignition switch is in the "on" position. I tapped into a switched power wire in the harness and once the switch is in the on position they are on. When I turn the key off, they go off. I run a switched light setup the same with the exception of running the on/off switch from the switched power wire going to it 1st then to the relay.
  24. I read the title of this thread and thought to myself, there aren't enough shrinks or medical practitioners to do that Take your time and heal right J, it may suck right now, but it will pay off in the end...all the best
  25. Good to hear she's back home Dan, I hope her recovery is swift and complete. Eddie, I really hope your mom makes a complete recovery from her illness. She's only 2 years older than my Mom, and that his very close to home. I wish you all the best my friend.
