LMAO!! Good for you, Pat! She never pulled a trailer with it yet, though. You guys can lead, Mike in middle, and I'll bring up the rear. We're finishing our packing right now. I need to get to bed fairly early (yeah right). See ya in the morning. P.S....Don, bring a wig, in case she makes you ride bi**h.

Guess I better bring my handcuff key with me then.
-
Be careful! See ya Friday!

The brakes had already stopped clicking, I'm just taking extra precautions. As for the Water Wetter... [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pApWgZdozQA]YouTube- water wetter[/ame]

We saw this one behind a Goldwing a few weeks ago, when we were down by Eck's house. http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i274/13thAFMonterey/IMG_3955.jpg

OK, I took the pads back off, put a bevel on the leading and trailing edges, added prestone anti-squeal to the backs of the pads, replaced my fuel filter and added Water Wetter to my cooling system. I should be good to go now....whew! MD here we come!
-
You are correct Sir! I was thinking about that last night, when I noticed some pad material in the holes. Oh well...I'll take 'em off tonight and grind 'em down, and add the anti-squeal...just in case.
-
Yup. Some use it all the time, but as soon as I get some anti-squeal, I'll replace the grease. Maybe tonight.
-
Well, I hate it for her, and hope she heals quick. I'm also disappointed that I won't get to meet you at MD, but hey, there will be more chances. Take care of your lady.
-
Glad to see you got 'er goin', and worked out whatever else you had goin' on. Lookin' forward to seein' you at MD.

Add 2 more. We'll be up for it. -
I inspected the rotor, and didn't see any cracks. I took the pads out and reversed them, and then added a THIN coat of grease to the backside of the pads. I just took it out for a spin, and all noises are gone. Whew! Thanks for the replies.
-
Well, now I gotta go out and check tonight, or I won't be able to sleep, thinking about it.:bang head:
-
I had checked that clip, and mine doesn't have the arrow, like the service manual shows. I tried it both ways, to no avail. I will check the rotor tomorrow. I hope that's not it. I wonder why it didn't do this with the old pads? Gonna try using some anti-squeal also.

Use a test light, instead of the Fluke. If there is a draw, it will light. Pull fuses until the light goes out, then you'll know which circuit it is. Not a perfect test, but usually points you in the right direction. Using the Fluke, you are just measuring the voltage drop between the 2 points, which should be full battery voltage, as it's an open.

Glad you made it out ok. Bike can be fixed.

Do you have 'em in red or pink, so we can look like jihadists?

I thought it had something to do with frog legs....mmmm. I've never had any issues with Hoppy products. I wonder if they're going downhill too, like so many other companies.

Axle and drive splines were just done with Honda Moly 60 when I put my tires on, about 6 weeks ago.

Since I replaced my rear brakes last week, I am getting a clicking sound when I apply my brakes. It's kind of like haing a playing card in the spokes of a bicycle (Hush, Yammer). It's not quite that loud, but I can hear it. I already tore it back down, and everything looks like it should. I am thinking it is just pad vibration. The pads are EBC HH sintered. Anyone else experience this?
