    I know this is an old post, but it still fits. I installed risers this past weekend to see if they would help with the back pain I get sometimes and WOW.....the riding and turning positions are so different that it's like I'm gonna have to learn to ride all over again. It feels really strange making tight turns now and it's hard to judge how much I have the bars turned when cornering. Did anyone else notice this after installing the risers, or is it just me????

    I know that on my first Venture, I had to purchase a bracket from someone on this site that extends the passing lamp bracket out far enough to clear everything. It looks as if you may have bolted it flat against the mounting frame and that is what is making them stick out like that. The bike I have now already had them installed and the guy used a couple of round spacers and a nut to make them stick out far enough. If I still had the guys contact info I would buy another one of his spacers.

    You could contact a dealership and have them pick up the bike for you. They could mount the tire and check the bike out before you get there. I've ridden from Nashville TN to Daytona in 1 day and I'm sure you can ride from Ohio to Nashville in 1 day. Where in Florida are you located? I'm in Miami and would love to ride with you some time. When was the last time you rode? If it has been a while, the shipping option may be the best.

    I should probably give tuning my carbs a shot. I priced having it done here in south florida and they want almost $400. Which tuning tool would be the best one to buy?

    Anybody know where I can get a tune up in South Florida? I only know of one Yamaha shop down here and I'm not sure they know how to work on a Venture.

    You would enjoy a nice short ride up to Fall Creek Falls. Great park and some awesome riding.

    They are all that way. That's wy you use the HD clamp.....to hide the gap

    I had the steroid injections about 8 years ago and just now started feeling the pain again. They work great.

    The set I put on the old Spook came from ebay, but they don't have any listed right now that I can find. Maybe you could search some motorcycle salvage yard sites. People are always crashing their bikes and these places buy them so they can part them out.
