  1. I am planning on being there this year. Daryl
  2. It was the battery cables they look good just a little copper tarnish so I used a steel bruxh and contact cleaner and it fired right up. Thanks for the help.
  3. I have an 07 RSV and when I push the starter button it starts to turn over then a loud snap and it stops and when i push it again just a click I thought it might be the battery so I charged it overnight and the same I took the battery nto be load tested and its good so is it the starter or something else?
  4. I try to stay away from that area it is just crazy there the trucks dont care about anything but making good time on the deliveries. If you go that way dont plan on staying in a campgroud or motel if you find an available room it will cost you an arm and a leg. A better choice is Interstate 94 then go North at Glendive Montana to Hwy 200 or further north to HWY 2.
  5. Next year we can have camper races down the hill I just need bigger ski's and headlights for the 4 AM race
  6. I would like to say Thank You to all that organized this event and did all the work to put on such a great event. I had a good time and many many laughs. Thank You again Daryl
  7. I sent an e-mail saying I was going about a month ago in reply to the e-mail sent out as an invitation did you recieve that ? If not I will be going and another friend on a Valkyrie is coming with from Bismarck. We will be camping and are pulling our motorcycle campers so save ua a spot. Hoping to get there by dark. Thanks Daryl 701-400-1185
  8. I just did that trip last week> My only advice is bring warm clothes and raingear. Drove in the rain or mist every day and the temps were in the low forties on the leke front. Nice scenery though and all kinds of little motels and B & B to stay at. Thanks Daryl
  9. No this is serious, the dealers can't sell a small motorcycle or Atv to an adult also if it is designed for a child to ride. You can't buy parts for the machines either. Some manufacturers use the same part for childs and adult bikes like clutch levers or other electical items and you cn't buy that either just in case you might try to put it on your kids bike. The Consumer Products Safety Commision doesn't like any motorcycles or ATV's so this is there way in the backdoor to ban them all including mine and yours.
  10. :080402gudl_prv:It is a very touristy are. The roads in the Hills are all very nice with great scenery. When you go on Iron Mtn Road and Needles Higway you want to go counter clockwise from Custer then you will see the Heads framed while going through the many tunnels. The Mt. Rushmore KOA is nice but usually very busy as are most places there over the 4th. You can spend about 3 or 4 full days riding the Hills. Both caves are really cool and I mean the temps in them also so bring a jacket about upper 50's if I remember correctly. The people in the area are very freindly and will give you great advice on things to see. Have fun
  11. I am not too proud to say you can push start the bike. I left mine in the accesory position twice last summer and had a dead battery. It does need to run quite some time to charge it up though which I also found out when I filled gas after push starting it. three times pushing that beast is a well learned lesson that hopefully will never happen again.
  12. Hey I resemble that statement. Funny but true.
  13. Has anyone tried a Kuryakyn trunk rack for a Goldwing on a Venture? I have been trying to find a Yamaha one with no luck as they are on national backorder.
