  1. Praying for you two Randy,,, asking that through all your trials and problems you will find blessings.
  2. Rootin and praying for you two. Maybe try a naturopath. Sometimes they look at things a bit different, helped me out a number of times.
  3. Interesting discussion. Never thought of it any different, always thought that both washers were the same, but have taken some out that seemed to be bent up on the ID. Did all kinds of years, 84, 85, 86, 88, 89, but can't remember which had the fancy washer and which didn't. I always replaced the 'bent' washers with new ones. I assumed that the reason they were bent was because of improper disassembly by some forgetful individual who forgot to remove the spring clip first.
  4. You didn't say that you used a new gasket. So my advise is to get a new gasket, and new seals for around the bolts. Clean the cover well with a small tool to get all the residue out of the grooves, put in a very minimal amount of sticky stuff to hold it in place (silicone, permatex, what ever),seat the gasket well into the cover, let it sit for about 30 minutes and then work the cover back into place. Not a lot of room, but can be accomplished with a bit of patience.
  5. Thanks for the write up. It's always something on my mind, what if I hit something today, but then the ride takes over and I don't worry anymore, just go for the ride. Well documented and inspiring, glad I read it. The thing that probably saved you, was the fact that you didn't have time to hit the brakes, had you done that,,, it could have turned out a lot different. It always amazes me as to how much can be accomplished on a motorcycle when we aren't even trying, or maybe you just had an angle watching over you.
  6. OK so you're invited,, now when are you going to show up?
  7. Oh now don't go doing that to YammerDan,,,, actually since he's got his shed up, it the only words he knows how to type.
  8. maybe you got the washer in the wrong place.
  9. OK so I called Aharbi, but there was no answer. Tell him to slightly pump the master and at the same time tap on the end of the master where the line attaches. Do this until no more air bubbles come up, then bleed the lines as normal.
  10. Sorry, that name doesn't want to come up under the members list.
  11. Best add some seafoam,, I hear it works wonders.
  12. Thanks Bob for seeing us through that maze of roads. Great colors, some places not yet, and some places 100%. None of the roads were anywhere near straight, what a good time. The weather was awesome, and the folks we had to put up with had their good points. Kudos to Wayne as well for starting this all off for us and leading us.

  14. Looks like you two enjoyed it. Jucuzzi doesn't look very used though,,,,,,,,, and no pictures, so did it actually get used?
  15. If you guys don't mind I will join you on this venture. We r in Ottawa rite now, but plan to b back in time to make this a reality.
  16. I've had enough of this forum the way it is, we need to upgrade to stay current with the rest of the world, soon anybody that lands on this site will just carry on to another because they will just think that all we have is outdated information. I know it's hard to accept change, but the world is changing constantly, so let's stay with it, before we get left behind. I just can't believe how all you guys posted in agreement. Somebody had to step in and create a fuss. Now back to your regular programming.
  17. very good, I enjoyed that!
  18. Call it: Business. That way when they go for a weekend, they can say that they're out on business. Or Call it: Venture. That way they could still be out on their Venture
  19. Instead of checking for voltage from the post to the cable, check for amperage, that can tell you if you have a major draw. Like tx2sturgies said, you most likely have a radio issue. Check the buttons on the radio, take that apart and clean them and see what happens.
  20. When I was young and in my prime, I used to do it all the time,,,,, but now that I'm getting old and sometime will be grey, I only do it once a day. Now I don't really remember what it was that I used to do, but what ever it was it must still be getting done, for I've heard no complaints so far.
  21. Just me thinking here,,, but if you can broadcast further than those who you can receive, you now no longer have 2-way communications.
  22. Does that mean we get to see more of you again?
  23. http://www.cbc.ca/frequency/index.html
  24. CBC 1010 I think, not sure of the FM band
  25. How do you all control the spider webs or cob webs in your shop\garage. Don't go telling me that the little lady is good at removing them, you might just as well tell me she polishes the scoot as well.
