  1. My red truck turned white,,,, well it's about time, we are almost ready!
  2. NOPE, I'm NOT Big Tom,,,, don't even look like him I think,,,,,sorry!
  3. I would say do a sync from scratch and then go from there. Let us know how you did or if you have more problems.
  4. Nothing staring me in the face there,,, but then what do I know,, I'll let the experts give their opinion.
  5. Took me 2 weeks to get mine to POP off,,, give it time and patience and constant trial and effort, and you will find the combination, but when it come off,,,, it COMES OFF!!!
  6. Looks like it got a bit hot. Can we see the other side?
  7. We'll be praying for you two as well. May He bless you in your time of trouble and help find what the problem is.
  8. Just seen this. Prayers for both of you, May He bless you well.
  9. My biggest concern would be: What broke the gear!, that may be more involved than what you might realize, but then if the price is right, the chrome may be the winner.
  10. Sounds like a road trip to me,,,, let's set up a time.
  11. Personally, I don't need a prize, and I don't buy the ticket to get one. I figure the reason for a rally is to get together, have fun, meet each other and get to know those who I haven't met yet. It's also kind of nice to ride together and see a bit of the country side, eat together, have a couple of drinks to stay hydrated and listen to a lot of BS. 'Winning' stuff that you really don't have any need for, or no desire for, just seems to get in the way. If we need to do this to raise funds to keep the cost down, then we should charge what we need to so cover expenses. If we do this to have fun, then there is me,, and some others,,, who get kind of bored during this process. But that is all my opinion, and now that I wrote it, you can read it.
  12. So Annie,,,,, I hear that you're not feeling feeling so good,,, would you like me to come over there to feel you better?
  13. It's Freebird's fault.
  14. Praying for you two Randy,,, asking that through all your trials and problems you will find blessings.
  15. Rootin and praying for you two. Maybe try a naturopath. Sometimes they look at things a bit different, helped me out a number of times.
  16. Interesting discussion. Never thought of it any different, always thought that both washers were the same, but have taken some out that seemed to be bent up on the ID. Did all kinds of years, 84, 85, 86, 88, 89, but can't remember which had the fancy washer and which didn't. I always replaced the 'bent' washers with new ones. I assumed that the reason they were bent was because of improper disassembly by some forgetful individual who forgot to remove the spring clip first.
  17. You didn't say that you used a new gasket. So my advise is to get a new gasket, and new seals for around the bolts. Clean the cover well with a small tool to get all the residue out of the grooves, put in a very minimal amount of sticky stuff to hold it in place (silicone, permatex, what ever),seat the gasket well into the cover, let it sit for about 30 minutes and then work the cover back into place. Not a lot of room, but can be accomplished with a bit of patience.
  18. Thanks for the write up. It's always something on my mind, what if I hit something today, but then the ride takes over and I don't worry anymore, just go for the ride. Well documented and inspiring, glad I read it. The thing that probably saved you, was the fact that you didn't have time to hit the brakes, had you done that,,, it could have turned out a lot different. It always amazes me as to how much can be accomplished on a motorcycle when we aren't even trying, or maybe you just had an angle watching over you.
  19. OK so you're invited,, now when are you going to show up?
  20. Oh now don't go doing that to YammerDan,,,, actually since he's got his shed up, it the only words he knows how to type.
  21. maybe you got the washer in the wrong place.
  22. OK so I called Aharbi, but there was no answer. Tell him to slightly pump the master and at the same time tap on the end of the master where the line attaches. Do this until no more air bubbles come up, then bleed the lines as normal.
  23. Sorry, that name doesn't want to come up under the members list.
  24. Best add some seafoam,, I hear it works wonders.
  25. Thanks Bob for seeing us through that maze of roads. Great colors, some places not yet, and some places 100%. None of the roads were anywhere near straight, what a good time. The weather was awesome, and the folks we had to put up with had their good points. Kudos to Wayne as well for starting this all off for us and leading us.
