  1. #@&*&%#$(*(()*&&)&*^$# Don't really know what that is supposed to say, but if you think it says 'I hate snow', you're wrong, way tooo many letters. Send it to S.Ontario, we're ready!!!! and if you send too much I know of a place a little south of here that has some room for temporary storage.
  2. Looks like a decent project,,,, have fun!!

Nice lookin' scooter, gotta love those 83's.
  4. We sure don't know what Yahweh can do, or what His plans are, but we can sure make a difference if we talk to Him, so I will do that, maybe, just maybe, He will be gracious and give you the opportunity you are seeking. Just goes to show us again, there is no time like the present, for we don't know what the future might hold.
  5. Good to find this out, Thank goodness it's posted or I would have missed it altogether. Hope it all turns out well Larry, keep us posted.
  6. My point exactly!!!!
  7. The welds don't even look good to me, and I'm a butcher!
  8. Reality will set in when I get grey hair.
  9. Count your blessings, name them one by one. My dad joined eternal life back in 81, he was 74. Nice guy, did a lot of work for others, but I really didn't have a relationship with him, so really don't miss him. Sometimes I envy you folks who miss their dad. It shows they had a good relationship, and that doesn't happen all the time.
  10. Prayers sent from up north. May you all find the blessings that are available through times of trial and tribulation.
  11. OH,,,, I wasn't even counting anymore, I had it figured it was full time time for you,,,,,, was it the dt100 or the ts50 that you got this time?
  12. She looks tired already, best let her sleep. Congrats, and enjoy!
  13. Nice work!!! Do it yourself?
  14. May she be blessed, even through tough times. He cares for His own, and has promised that should a hair fall from her head, He would be aware of it. Prayers sent.
  15. Looks like Ground Hugger has been spending time with his wife again,,,, didn't I tell you to stay away from her!!!! Now look what you've started. We can't change the name, how would I ever find my way if I couldn't remember what I was looking for???
  16. best said this way: http://www.fluid-film.com/
  17. It's good to worry and consider this phenomenon some, I have had the same thoughts in the recent past. This is a rather new site actually. It started somewhere around 2004 so about 10 years old, slowly it grew and as new members came the posts count grew. People were interested to get to know each other, either just on line or in person, either way, that takes communication, so posts were created and BS bloomed. I think we have got quite comfortable with each other and have added more challenges to life, so that will take time from the other things we do with our lives, so VentureRider.org might become a bit more passive rather than active. Yes I think that keeping things on an even keel may have a little effect on some considering not to post, just in case that they may be stirring the pot in the wrong direction, but I do believe that keeping things civil has a more positive effect and generates a better relationship between us. And as mentioned, things change, and so does life and the needs it brings with it. So if we need it, we tend to use it, but if the need diminishes then so does our use of whatever we were in need of. In conclusion, I think that if more folks were to make regular use of SeaFoam, they would find less need for CTs, and that would translate in the need for less oil changes. Now if you don't need to change the oil as often then a person would have time to listen more to the cassette deck. So if you've never used it before, now is the time to consider getting a supply of Fluid Film, before the price goes up again. THERE, happy now?
  18. It didn't happen if there be no pictures!!!! Come on snow$$$$$$$$$
  19. We'll keep you and your family in our petitions to the Father if you want.
  20. I do think this needs some editing, or is that the Mods job?
  21. KEEP HER, she's worth her weight in gold!!!
  22. Some year ago I bought what looked like the cat's meow, paid like $60 for it and it's supposed to sharpen everything, all kinds of do-gadets with it and it looked impressive. Sometimes I could get decent results, sometimes not so good, so I went on line and watched some videos,,,,, along with a bunch of other videos that weren't on the schedule. As usual, it only took about 2 hours to see the video that I was looking for and in the end I learned a lot about other things that I had never even thought of before. What I do now is to sharpen all my twist bit on my bench grinder. Couple of things to keep in mind: Angle must be at 60 degrees, and 30 degrees up, flue must be at the top of the bit as it's sharpened, use only very light strokes with an upwards movement, and most important is to never let the end of the bit get hot, so lightly does it. When I get in a hurry, and take off too much the results are lousy, because I got the very end of the bit too hot. Just my thoughts. 23. What ever you do, stay away from the 6L, unless you have stock in your local gas company. In 05 GM started to coat the inside of the body panels with galvanize, so go 05 or newer.
  24. We do have a bike shop here, and the owner is as old as the hills and has been there forever, and seems to know the problem quite well. Two things: he says that the indexing may be the same and maybe not, and,,,, they had a flood a couple of years ago and so threw out all that stuff because they never used it. I can go to other bike shops, and plan to do just that,, once I hear back from Saddlebum.
  25. Waiting with baited breath!
