I find that putting on a new set of sneakers often takes the focus off of the rest of the vehicle, also a good massage does wonders for the paint, as for the headlights maybe get a new set of lenses. I've also discovered that putting less coolant in the rad helps with the overflow, and that to fix the exhaust problem,,, well it's best to ignore it altogether, unless it leaves an odor, in which case it won't be so bad if you remember that there is a reason for that as well, and that being that it is for the benefit of those who happened to miss the crackle or wondered what the noise the was.

Shame on you Scot, there you are calling Mr Yammer by a name that is definitely not his,,,, you see, we actually have a Dano on the site, and although we miss him a lot, we don't miss him enough to sub-plant his handle on one such as Yammer Dan. There you go Dano, I stood up for ya,,, happy now?

Ya know Fool,,,, that might be an idea, and Canada might be happy to be rid of me,, now that I'm on Old Age Pension and all,,,, and I do make disturbances every once in a while,,,, but if I do come we'd have to fix some things to make me feel at home, like fix that snow-shooter so so it actually works, I'm thinking with you being laid up that maintenance hasn't been the topmost on your mind or upgrades for that matter. With you're expertise and my wacky ideas there should be plenty of the good stuff to go around, with maybe even a little to spare for our southern partners.

Guess you should have used a stronger wine!

Wishing you all many Blessings in 2016. Blessings come from above, so look up to find the Blesser!!

I went out looking for a saw 40 years ago,,, didn't have much money, but thought I had a little know how. Ended up at the local dealer and asked if he had any used saws for sale. He said he would have one the next day or so, but at the time they had not gone over the one they had so wouldn't sell it. $$ were in my eyes so I asked him how much there and then with no coming back to complain. He said $65. I paid him and became the proud owner of an older Haliday saw. That saw has seen a lot of trees. It needs a bit of muscle to lift bit never has given me a problem once I wake it up. Now it runs about once every two years. Never worry about gas or stabilizers. My sons have Stihl and 3 or 4 different ones,,, harder to deal with than the Haliday. The Haliday was made in Peterborough in the old Pioneer plant after the employees bought the plant.

I could come to help out,,,, wonder if my boss would miss a tractor,,,,,, how far did you say it is?? let me know next time it snows, or should I get a residence there somewhere.

Looks good boss,,,, with my 17 grandkids I could be very busy, but they don't all want to ride,,, maybe about 5 of them at this point. Enjoy!!!! Glad you took the picture before she got the shakes though,,,,,,

What is wrong with this picture?
Marcarl replied to camos's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
Glad you are ok, doesn't take long to happen eh? dumped an 86 in a somewhat similar fashion, except it was the side stand that caused it and a skidoo suit that helped my slide. Your calipers look ancient, lots of salt by the look of things. I would suggest as well, take all the calipers off, rebuild them from scratch with new seals and rings and drain the total system. You just can't spare anything when it come to the stoppers,,, they need to work right and well. -
Out of hear you!!!!! Now you told him and the cat is out of the bag,,,, never mind,,, it's all good!!! Phil, try Dalton Timmes in Ancaster. I found out a few years ago it depends a lot on your agent. I was with a local agent and Kingsway, checked with another agent, come up with a lot better price, so I took it,,,, turned out to be guess who????? yep, Kingsway. I am now insured by Aviva but they have my car as well and that makes a difference I think.

Happiness brings tears,,, now I can wait to see you again, because I'll have to 'put up with you' forever.

I think that guy just likes to hear himself talk,,,, there are those types you know,,, he needed to write a piece and he had it figured that if he complained about something he would be able to get a following. I have found that complainers never seem to get anywhere,,, they just are lucky enough to spin their wheels, but stay put. His 'experience' could be put the other way around and it wouldn't be a lie. Just an airbag!

Happy Birthday to the Dragonslayer. Hope you will enjoy many more. Blessings

Well, some neat suggestions,,, thanks,,,,,, but you know us,we go all out, and that didn't agree with some of the locals so they sent in the fire brigade,,, and you know what they do, ,,being country boys they just went about their job and paid no attention to anybody and promptly put the BBQ out,,,,,, spoil sports!!!! We figure somewhere in the neighborhood of 25000 lbs of product down the poop shoot. Gonna be a good sized cheque, and our suppliers hope it to be soon. As far as crowd sourcing???? thanks for the thought but we'd rather help out somebody else,,, isn't that the way it always is?,,,,, but if it come to that, we'll let you know. So far our Father has been around us completely and we don't figure He is done just yet, so we're looking to see what else He comes up with. I'll let you in on what happens.

So here's an update: Roof is gone,,, pros ae thinking walls might be ok, stock is being cleaned up starting today and the rest of the cleanup as well. Adjuster has been good so far, had a call from a friend\litigation lawyer to help out with pitfalls. Very little heat inside the building, mostly water, insulation and drywall. Community has been great and you folks are part of that,,, thanks!!!! Now looking into setting up somewhere temporarily, but that is a hitch in the FI policy,,, should have had more money in that area. We'll see how God works that one out. Seems like people expect us to be serious at this point,,, man! that's hard to do!! So Humour abounds!!!

Hi All. Thanks for all the posts and words of concern. It's Sunday! a day of rest and worship. Tomorrow we will start with the insurance company and the decisions as to what happens next. Last night Eric (our son who now runs the business) and I spent some time to get the pay checks done and Christmas bonuses in place and brought them out to those who needed them. A good time and the wine was free. Eric went one way and I the other. Jamie, one of our guys spent most of the day yesterday calling people to tell them that their orders would not be available,, quite a job. The cause-man was in yesterday and determined that the smoke house was the initial culprit,,, well we kind of knew that already, but now the officials know it as well. The roof is history, but there seemed to be very little heat inside the walls,, probably due to the fact that the firefighters thought water was free and used it accordingly. In the part of the building where there was a steel ceiling, it is walk-able, where there was drywall ceiling all the drywall came down with the insulation,, that is a horrible mess to put it lightly. Anybody want to take inventory? I'll keep you posted,,, it's gonna be interesting. Already have offers of place to be for an interim, but we'll have to see how that works out,,,, did I say it's gonna be interesting?

These are some pictures I was never hoping to be able to take. We're not sure of the loss yet, roof is history, walls are still standing but there is discussion on them as well. Product is all condemned, total Christmas inventory pretty well. A big headache for our customers at this time of year. Gonna be interesting how we will be led in the next little while, our Shepherd is constantly watching over us and we are dependent on Him, gonna be interesting how He guides the way. Everybody is good, no injuries other than maybe some pride. Insurance was already in attendance, so our claim is already entered. (Intact) House was not even touched, good job by the Brant County Volunteers. About 8-10 trucks were present and a whole host of bodies,,,,quite a gathering. Sure is a different feeling.

Throw a piece of plain cardboard under the bike. Fuel will end up mostly dry, but will leave mark, oil will remain wet, coolant will dry over time but leave a different mark and the glycol will not evaporate as quick as the water, brake fluid will remain damp and will wash away with plain water.

Ya for sure,,, but the Fool is on "holidays" so we'll have to wait a bit. Probably a Ya-am-da-ki-do, so, yaamdakido,,, short for Yammi, canam, davidson, suzuki, skido.

Update on Beth

Good news,,, gives one Peace in your heart I bet!!! May blessings continue to abound! -
Now that IS real good news,,,,but does that mean that you have more brains than the rest of us? Guess we might have to decipher that thought.

The glue will add to the deposits in the chimney, and will light at a lower temp than the creosote. In the very least this will cause a headache for you as you will have to ascend the roof to dump a pail of water down that hole,,, if you can get there in time and it doesn't cause more damage. Further more, it provides little in the effect of heat in the stove, but might make up for that in chimney heat, and if the house goes the way of the chimney, you could temporarily heat the whole neighborhood. I got a sneaky suspicion that the sync is off a little. Try it again, just for kicks. -
TAKE TIME FOR CHRISTMAS I'm bound to write a piece for this season It is on my heart to tell you the reason To share of my feelings, it's all about love For all of you riders, from the Master above. It's not all that easy to send one away Many have felt that, when war had it's way We send out our loved ones, to God knows where at To fight for what's right, and then lonely we sat We worried, we stewed, and hardly could bear The thought, that maybe, no more moments to share To wait for the time when all would be done Would they be safe? and the struggle be won? If you have not yet had that feeling inside Thank God for the peace He has 'llowed you to bide For many have learned and lost in the fight And then life went on in the dark of the night. No sharing of griefs would seem to replace The loss of a loved one, no more to embrace. The world has gone mad with it's race to succeed For years it has happened, and with you I now plead. The result is the same, today, as before We will not find the rainbow of lore. It's peace that we need, of this I am sure So read to the end, there is hope of a cure. Jesus was born, His way to the fight He didn't have to do it, for Dad it was night. To let His Son go to fight with the devil It wasn't easy, and nothing was level. No rules were laid out, the battle was joined The outcome was known, but had to be coined. He lived 30 years and fought the good fight The end was His death on a cross in the night. For us He was born, so we might have passage If He were to rise, we could loose all our baggage Victorious He was and we can be thankful For the fact that He came and put down the devil. On Shopping and Santa we are focused today We're losing the story of Jesus and hay. He came to this world, for you and for me Take time in your life, His glory to see. Yes, take some of the day, that's has been set apart And worship The Soldier, from deep down in your heart. The future is bleak, while here we do ramble For ages we have tried and made it a scramble From one pit to another we tumble at best Today we're no closer to meeting our quest. We think we can do it, and have it in hand But then we soon realize; our Captain is banned From schools to the judge, from work and from play When will we realize we've thrown it away? What is our goal,,, will it take the right bend? We need to consider our course in the end! Forever is long, and there is no going back Make up your mind now, and give it no slack. Consider the road that leads to perfection! Just ask Him to join, there'll not be rejection. A family for certain, and sure we have troubles But peace in the end and then,,,, no more struggles. Carl Norg
