  1. Won't be doing that until we get our neighbour thing settled away and have built phase 2,,, so I'd say: Next Year?
  2. Sorry all, but I don't have any pictures just yet, but we are finally moving in to start operations at our home place again this week. The store part is only half ready, but the processing, cooler and freezer are operational and approved for use. It's been an interesting road. First we had thought to double the size of the building to accommodate the production process that we had been doing back in 2008 when we had had a provincial license, but our neighbour got his nose in the way and protested to the Onatrio Municiple Board, so for the present we have the original size building back with a restroom 4 times the size that we need because of the HC rules. Anyways, we are happy to be moving in, it'll take a week or two maybe three to get things all organized, but we are HOME!! If you are wondering what happened?? http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?114271-Some-pictures
  3. If you let he smoke out of the wire, then you have troubles. The first place I would look for an issue is where the smoke originated. The wire got hot for some reason and heat is created by resistance, a poor connection, too small wire size or such. This could do damage to the starter and could let the smoke out as well. The starter is designed to run at 12.6 volts or better, and at that voltage it draws a certain amount of amps. As the voltage goes down the amps go up, creating heat, and too much heat creates smoke and if you let the smoke out, the wire starts to get burnt, which creates more resistance and more heat.
  4. Now how did this happen, Larry had a birthday and there was no posted party,,,, bummer,, and I was sooo busy yesterday Blessings for the year ahead Larry, and may you be kept in His care.
  5. If you bought the plugs at a discount or cheap it is entirely possible that even though you thought they were a brand name, that were they a cheap knockoff instead. On the other hand, if memory serves me correct, NGK are the only ones that seem to work well, with few complaints, in the Venture. Just make sure you buy them from a reputable parts supplier rather than some other outfit that sells cheaper products.
  6. Good going Bro. having a split open chest is no fun indeed, and then having them play around with the innards is probably not all that comfortable either. Wishing you well on the healing and recovering process. Eat well and keep fit, then we'll see u soon.
  7. That is a crap load of water in a hurry. Nothing was built to handle that much. Best ask the Father for His input!
  8. Save yourself a pot full of money and scrap the tv altogether.
  9. Thanks Bob for having me take a second look, I thought it was the engine case,,,, getting old I guess. Seems to me, just looking at it, that you haven't drilled deep enough yet. There seems to be enough room to go deeper and re-thread the deeper portion. The left over piece of collar will have to stay in place, but if you can drill deeper then get a longer screw you might be able to make it work. Best get the right screw though before you tap the bore or you might get it wrong.
  10. Yep, you'll either need a good welder who leaves no airpockets or take a chance on JB weld. If you decide to go JB, do not put too much hardner in the mix, so be sure to get it very close to right and then leave it for at least 72 hours at warm temp.
  11. Well you can think what you want, and can post all the arguments for or against, but the center of the universe is where I am right this moment, and if it's the center of the universe then NA might as well tune itself in as well and realize that there is no more important spot than where Carl has his being presently. As far as I'm concerned I'm in the center,, well at least that seems to be the thought of the times, and I thought seeing as I was run over by computers years ago, I might as well get with the times and bend with the winds.
  12. Thanks Ben for setting this up. It was real good to see everybody again for a bit, trouble is, a person doesn't get to spend much time with everybody, so we miss some conversation, but we get more conversation with others,,, and that's not a bad thing. Guess rallys are for more in depth camaraderie, so I guess I'll have to attend the All Ontario Rally in July. I suppose that would be a good thing for those who missed out coming as well, like those who were sick, had other plans, decided to go elsewhere, got lost on the way down,,,,, or just plain FORGOT!!!,,,not mentioning any names here, but, is the memory starting to fail???? http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?115027-Ontario-Rally-July-21-to-24 If you want a room for this event, you had best book it now!!! South Wind Motel and Campground 6254 County Rd 121 Minden, Ontario K0M 2K0 705 286 2152 Toll Free : 866-356-6835 (not sure if the 866 number is working) http://www.southwindmotel.ca/accommodations.html http://mapq.st/1PMq3E2
  13. I'll talk to him tonight. I think he has it all mixed up somehow, he may be a very good mechanic, and also handy when it comes to work products, but I'm not so sure he knows much about swinging doors. Every time it gets cold enough for us to get some snow, he opens things up so that we get rain instead. We'll have to give him some edumacation me thinks, just got to find the right words, he don't always listen so well I noticed,,,, talks too much maybe.
  14. So we would all like to know who is the member that likes you? or do I have the backwards again?
  15. Blessing to everyone for 2017
  16. Just saw this. Prayers for all involved.
  17. Ok, I'm a little older now, and maybe a bit wiser,,,, but I'm with Bubber on this one. I just can't see why anyone would want to go out to spend money on something that they have been doing very well without for the last year or so. If you haven't needed for so long, what would be the rush for getting it right now,,,, is it just because a person needs to stay ahead of somebody else in their toys?....... And getting gifts for each other?? are they really in need of that item, or will it get lost in the shuffle in the next day or so. We used to get a new coat, or warm socks,,, now that was useful and appreciated for months,,, guess those days are gone though.
  18. Rats!!!! everybody else got out again, but they left me sleeping!!! bright side is, there'll be lots for breakfast!!
  19. Just need a little clarification here. Who is this prayer for, Skid, you or the Warden?
  20. Wish each and everyone of you a Blessed Christmas. Celebrating birthdays is a tradition, in our family and on this continent. I think it's a good thing, for we get reminded of how long we have had the privilege of being alive, how good we've had it in the past and hope for the future. We celebrate Christmas each year, with a big fanfare, we spend lots on food and other things and our focus turns to the good things in life, and we try to put aside those things that are bothering us. We also like to wish each and everybody we meet, good wishes for the future. Christmas has that, Christ was born over 2000 years ago and we still like to remember that today, but the best is yet to come. He was born once, but the real big celebration will be when He comes again!!! Let's continue to celebrate.
  21. We have at least 7 members who have their birthdays today. So along with a wish for a Blessed Christmas, I would like to extend birthday greetings to: ronkeen Doc Wade Cosmo bkupmstr guitarzan clmillsaps ArticusMedicus Some of have seen many winters, others have seen a lot more, all totaled up there are 415 winter\Christmas experiences. May each of you enjoy what the Creator has put in place for you, all the good things of this earth and environment, as well as the happenings in you life. Blessings. Carl
  22. Thanks Don. I do appreciate these updates. God bless you Ponch, we'll meet again when days no longer count.
  23. There is a weee, tiny, very small hole in the master cylinder, on the side of the bore. If this sucker is plugged, problems such as you describe will be present.
  24. If you can identify a cylinder that is missing, spray some carb cleaner or even WD40 into that carb. If the cylinder recovers, then you most likely have a fuel issue, if it does nothing, then it would be an ignition problem, if it tries to kill the engine, then I would suggest everything is working alright in that one because you have flooded the cylinder.
