MAC Muffler Contest

Here's a pic of a chin scoop sleeve. It's slightly bigger than the one used in the tab gromet. It ran about a buck from my local Yamaha dealer so they probably have the sleeve for the tab too. I'd get the sleeve, gromet, and screw and replace them all.

On your first pic it looks like your crush sleeve is also missing. You might want to replace it before tightening down on that screw and washer, or you're going to be doing a little ABS repair. That sleeve keeps pressure off the ABS tab, and the screw originally came with a washer.....

There's a couple of 1300 dashes on Ebay right now. Although I can't remember seeing one in KM's...

Perhaps the Class Controller needs to be resoldered..... -
I have one set of MAC's left. I've gone thru the list of members that had indicated they were interested in an extra set, and still have this one set left. I thought I'd saved all the PM's and Emails, so if I missed you I apologize. Anyway, here's the deal. I figure the only equitable way to find a new home for the last set, and not offend anyone.... is to have a contest for all those that might be interested, So, I'm thinking of a number between 1 and 50. To keep things on the up and up, only myself and Freebird know what that number is. The one coming the closest to that number gets the MAC's. The price will be $275 delivered to your door, which is still a pretty good deal as the new retail is $319+ shipping. The contest will run for a week. So for those of you that are interested, get your ESP hats on, and post your number, and good luck. BTW, only one number per member...

Now how in the 'H' can they lose a V-Max final. I picked up one listed on Ebay for a little more than that, but after talking with Squeeze it's tough to figure out if it's actually off a V-Max. Some of these Ebay sellers dealing with Venture parts like to label their things as V-Max even tho it came off a Venture. I have seen finals listed as V-Max and when I questions the seller I found it actually came off a 1stGen. '83-'93. Their excuse... 'Oh it'll fit'....and most of them don't know there's a difference. I think if I ever buy another V-Max final I want to be standing there watching them take it off the bike.... and even then it may be a Venture final that a V-Max owner has swaped out??? Go figure....

Ahah!... Bigger spring assist shocks... I would have never guessed....

I'm not familiar with that one. There's a MkII VentureLine backrest on Ebay right now. You'd probably be better off biding on it rather than trying to find something that'll fit that bracket.

You taking lessons from Marcarl??? :rotf:

Did I miss something? What the 'H' is 'that thing'???

Depends on the solar charger circuitry... I run a Siemens 75 watt solar on the boat, and it needs to be regulated and it does have an inline diode, so I'm not worried about it discharging the battery bank. Most of these mini 5 watt solars don't have a diode in the circuitry and really don't need to be regulated, so it can happen. However in a very small amount, but enough to offset any good it did during the charging period. I always did think they were a waste of money....

Yep!!!! Here ya go.... Hope this clears things up for you. electric battery, device that converts chemical energy into electrical energy, consisting of a group of electric cells that are connected to act as a source of direct current. The term is also now commonly used for a single cell, such as the alkaline dry cell used in flashlights and portable tape players, but strictly speaking batteries are made up of connected cells encased in a container and fitted with terminals to provide a source of direct electric current at a given voltage. A cell consists of two dissimilar substances, a positive electrode and a negative electrode, that conduct electricity, and a third substance, an electrolyte, that acts chemically on the electrodes. The two electrodes are connected by an external circuit (e.g., a piece of copper wire); the electrolyte functions as an ionic conductor for the transfer of the electrons between the electrodes. The voltage, or electromotive force, depends on the chemical properties of the substances used, but is not affected by the size of the electrodes or the amount of electrolyte.

66ma is practically nothing at 20volts. Especially when it's a solar charger. Think about this. That's the max rating in direct sunlight at high noon on a cloudless day with the cells pointed directly at the sun. Any deviation of the angle and the charge rate starts to drop off. From about 4pm to 10am the next day you're probably loosing more amps thru atrition than that solar charger is putting out. I'd suggest you pick up a smart charger and rig a quick release plug on the bike to make it easy to connect the charger up, and go that route. Also you may still want to do a usage chart with all the added accessories that you've installed, and compare it to the amount of amps coming out of that Buckeye stator. You still may be depleating the battery with everything drawing power.

Shhhh!!!! don't call 'm SB's. SB will get mad at us.... Condor Brace is OK.... but I just call 'm a Forkin' Brace... Also this thread is just a scientific market test to see if we'd get enough interest to warrant a group buy.
