  1. About time. After 9 years I still can’t use iTunes.😀
  2. And now they’re saying iTunes is going away??
  3. Well I don’t have the new Venture, yet. But if I were in the right situation, you can bet your boots I’d use it. I don’t care if it’s uphill, down hill, or around the corner, or what the manual says. If I needed it for whatever the reason, I’d use it. Just my two cents, PLEASE, spend it wisely.
  4. I saw this for sale. Stephenville Texas https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1203427053178760/
  5. I can’t imagine the problem, I just did the job two weeks ago. I replaced the top bolt first, then the bottom. The hardest problem I had was getting the nut on the top bolt. Ended up putting grease on the outside of the nut, so it will stick and stay in the socket, then putting it in the socket on a swivel, then working with it a few minutes and finally got it. Bottom was a piece of cake. And as Du-Ron showed, a screwdriver works well. I did use a Philips instead of a flat head.😀 Bill

  7. My 2001 had the bottom of the right side saddle bag melted when I bought it. No idea at all what caused it. I found it when I put new tires on it. I didn’t worry too much about it. But when I got home from Sturgis last year, I noticed the whole bottom of the right saddle bag was GONE!!!! But stranger yet, nothing I keep in that bag was missing!!! i found one on eBay the same color, lucky.
  8. The main plug that connects to the starter solenoid is a known problem area. Unplug it, clean it, sometimes replace it, (junk yard)or replace the female blade terminals inside it. Also there is a main fuse there that will look good but really isn’t. Replace it.
  9. Mine would come on, work about 20 minutes then go off. When you tried to turn it back on, you get an “err” message. I replaced my unit and still works good. Got it on eBay for around $150. And remember, the CB is under the travel trunk, so also check wiring under the seat.
  10. what are you charging and how long does it take? thanks Bill

  16. Well on the original question, second gear went out on my 85 at around 60k miles. When I sold it, it had 147k on it. The guy I sold it to put on another 20k when he lost control and crashed it. I just skipped second gear when I rode it.
  17. With your gas tank full, bike should run without a fuel pump. Sounds like you may have a bad fuel filter or petcock is not on.
  18. The biggest thing I don’t like about Rotella T6 is it’s not available in 20w50. Texas summertime is hot.

  23. I put mine back on with JB Weld, The slow one not the 5 minute. I don’t know that there is any difference, but was told once that the slow cure hardened better. IDK. Been three years and still there. Good luck.
