Roadliner Roadstar are bolt on wheels. But I couldn't tell that much difference. The 130/90x16 on the front helped just as much. If you've ever ridden the first gen, or even the third gen, the handling of the second gen sucks. Not much if anything you can do to fix it.

I've been buying from Babbitt's. They even have an app.

I've seen alternators put out a/c voltage and still be bad. Don't forget to check between each of the alternator wires (3) and ground. Ohms check, if you get any reading at all the alternator is bad. Wow thats cool looking!! You are correct on putting led or hid bulbs into headlights to replace stock bulbs. They give a lot of bright light, but it's random or scattered everywhere. The light I used is very focused and bright.

Well sir, you have been misinformed. As I said it takes a little work. You have to modify the original mount to accept the led bucket. No glass cutting at all. Here is a picture that someone on here did a few years ago that I used for a pattern. The adjustment system has to be eliminated, but as you'll see another is installed. Any questions I'll be glad to help.

Well after changing several thousand sets of brake pads on various bikes,,,,,,,,never mind.

He rebuilt mine a month or so ago. Does a fantastic job.

The only way the valve can can get tighter, is if the valve face and or vale seat wear.

Sorry, but as the shims wear, they get loose, not tight.

I don't know that the noise is coming from the valves, just suspect that it might be. As the shims wear, the valve clearances get tighter and tighter which could possibly end up damaging the valve or the head. well sorry but as the shims wear, they get loose not tight.

A friend of mine rides a 2012 Harley Electraglide. And most of the the time we get exactly the same mileage. We ride 60-65 but ever once in a while we'll kick em up yo 75-80. But we still get about the same, but a lot less than normal. On our trip to Sturgis this year he beat me from.5-.7 tenth gallon every fill up. We should be closer now.

Im normally not very lucky, but I've done it 3 times, 150k each, never checked them, so I'm gonna try. 😀

I've done hundreds of these type valve adjustments, the 80's model Honda 750,900, and CBX, which are done the same way. I just don't want to anymore. 😀

I normally do my own maintenance on everything I own. Always have. So I was thinking about doing a valve adjustment on the RSV, but I don't have the tool or the shims, and to tell the truth I really don't want to. Do I called a few dealers to get the price. $400 to start with!!!!!! Ok to hell with adjusting the valves!!! I had 3 gen ones all of which I put 150k or more miles on all of them, and never adjusted the valves and never had any problems. Let's try for number 4.

Just got back. 159.6 miles, 3.92 gallons of gas, equals 40.7 MPG. Hell yes.

Got the carbs synced and a set of Road King mufflers installed. Louder than I thought, but sounds like a V8 while idling.😀 Going to go ride today. I hope my gas mileage is back.

All together and running. Before with it running in my shop, especially when cold and using the choke, within just a short while it would burn your eyes with fumes. I let it run about 15 minutes on the lift while checking everything out. No burning eyes or gas smell. Yay!!!!

My tuner should be here Monday. Rebuilt all carbs and set the floats. It sounds good, but I know the carbs need to be synced. Hopefully Monday or Tuesday I'll get it done. Can't wait to check my gas mileage.
