  1. Made it back home yesterday after the Venture West event and a 2 day stopover in Clearlake. Had a great time meeting everyone and riding all around the area. Thanks to Victor and Nancy for putting this together, Nice Job! Looking forward to the International and next years VW ride. Here is a link to a YouTube slide deck I put together with some of the pictures I got.
  2. You're very welcome Nancy. Thanks for everything you and Vic did getting this together. Had a Blast meeting everyone and riding around the area. Hoping I can get the eyes done during this years off-riding season
  3. MMMMMMMMM PIE, Good stuff there buddy.
  4. Better almost late than never.
  5. So very sorry for your loss, Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family.
  6. If time allows take 285 south to Poncha Springs then 50 west or, 50 out of Montrose heading east. This takes you over Monarch summit, past Dillon Pinnacles, the mini-grand canyon, and Gunnison. Some great scenery and a great ride. Ride Safe!
  7. That is terrible! Get in touch with your homeowners insurance since the cars should be covered under an "Act of God" portion of your policy.
  8. Our thoughts and prayers are with you for a quick and full recovery.

  10. Were the pads worn where the bottoms of the pads are much thicker then the tops? If so the bottom cylinders may have not been working at all and have bound up off kilter in the housing. You should completely remove the caliper from the bike and see if you can see any twist in the cylinders. Use a micrometer to check for differences if you have one. Make sure to plug the end of the brake line so it doesn't bleed out all of the fluid. You can try doing the C-clamp compression on the bench if the cylinders are not to far out of alignment. Open the bleeder valve all the way. Use an old brake pad and place the metal side against one side of the cylinders. Lay a rag over the bleeder hole area then slowly turn the clamp to compress both upper and lower at the same time but go slow. If that works do the other side the same way. Once you have them compressed check the outer seals to make sure they are not pinched or damaged then reinstall the caliper. Install the new pads and bleed the system. Remember to use only DOT-4 brake fluid. Hope this helps.
  11. I have a 99 RSV I purchased used 5 years ago with 5200 miles on it. About all I have had to do other than regular maintenance is replace tires. She runs very well and did a 10K mile coast to coast ride last yeas with no issues, except a rear tire replacement in Atlanta. Getting her ready for another long ride this year and have no issues with jumping on and riding anywhere. Should be a great purchase.
  12. What a bunch of "J-Holes" but I'm awake!
  13. I have ridden much further for much worse
  14. Congratulations on having to wear a Tux!!!!!! It can be hard to do but at the same time a real honor to give another good man the opportunity to see why we, as fathers, are so proud of our daughters.
  15. Nice addition Eck! Like how the shape fits the wing. Now just drill a small drain hole toward the rear, install a "P" tube, add ice and there you have it...Cold Drinks for all those hot summer rides.
  16. Hey Puc, How about lets all go out to the Indian sponsored "Great American Summer Cookout" on June 13th? Stir-Stir-Stir :) http://www.indianmotorcycle.com/en-us/great-american-cookout?wt.mc_id=DD823CA3-D00B-E511-80D2-0050569A218C&wt.mc_ev=email&WT.mc_id=
  17. Don, I got the chance to ride the Roadmaster and the other two bagger versions during the local demo days and found the Roadmaster to be a real nice ride with a nice center of gravity and easy to handle. I got the chance to ride it 3 times that day and found the controls were placed nicely and except for the crappy radio, no intercom or CB, was options nicely. We road down and back near the American River on a nice road with a few twists and turns and I was impressed with the power and how easily it took the curves. The transmission was a bit loud and had some shifting noise but did not feel any real excessive heat coming off the engine during the ride but, it was only around 75 degrees that day so cannot attest to how it would be during hot summer rides. I don't know why but the Roadmaster seemed to handle better in the turns than the baggers, maybe just my perception. The tan seat color looks nice from the beginning but have seen a couple of them that are beginning to turn a bit darker in some areas. Maybe a good dye job would do the trick??? With the warranty being changed to only 2 years and still a fairly new offering for Polaris I think I would spend $30K on something a bit more true and tested.
  18. I changed both tires last week putting an E-2 on the rear and E-3 up front. Did not have them weight balanced, instead I added 8oz (one bottle) of Ride-On into each tire. Spun the tires a few times before taking it off the jack, took it around the block then parked it until today. Road into town and around some of the local winding back roads today and have got to say this is about the smoothest ride right out of the shoot I have ever had on my 99. Within a 1/2 miles in to the initial ride the balance was near perfect and 95%+ of any vibration I had experienced before was gone. I will never purchase a D-404 again because the mileage I got was so bad and will never use wheel weights again either. I am sold on Ride-On and since it also adds puncture protection its a Win-Win all around. Will have to see how far the E's will take me this year and will provide the long term results later in the year. Ride Safe Everyone!!!!!!!

    what the why

The wife had hers removed over 10 years ago, had 2 large stones but was able to get it done with laparoscopes. Like G.W said, if done that way you will feel better within a few days but, be prepared for the future having to find restrooms quickly since one of the side effects of Gallbladder removal can be...TMI. Good Luck and Recover Quickly.
  20. Motorcycle Superstore has the Dunlop E-II rear in your size (MV85-15) on sale for $100.00 including free shipping. Just put one on my RSV and only have a few miles on it but what a difference over the D-404. Will never put a D-404 on mine again since the best I've never done better than 6200 miles out of one. http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/6030/i/dunlop-491-elite-ii-touring-white-letter-rear-tire
  21. Thanks everyone! Looks like this was mounted correctly. Ride Safe!
  22. Need some advice from those who have run the E-3 front tire. I mounted a new Dunlop E-3 front tire on my RSV following the directional arrow on the tire and rim but...looks like the tread is running in the opposite direction than I am used to with the old D-404's. It is also the reverse from the rear tire which is a E-2 Is this correct rotation shown in the pictures or do I need to reverse it? My concern is in rain would this not bring water toward the center of the tire and how this would corner or, am I just overthinking the factories pattern design. Thanks in advance.
  23. Got the seats, bag's, tank and wheels off. Mounted a new set of Dunlop E series tires and putting Ride-On in this set. Doing some major cleaning on, in, around, and under the RSV plus doing all my safety checks, oil and filter changes, final drive, fluids, etc. The trailer is getting another good wax job and have already started to load it up some of the important items I may need over the next few months. Looking forward to meeting everyone in Yreka and the International Rally. Ride Safe Everyone!
  24. Glad you were not injured but...get a rental car since there is something real wrong with the frontend. Better to be safe then in another wreck.
  25. Prayers up and good thoughts your way for a quick and complete recovery Dan.
