  1. So, Ron is your first husband??? Hopefully the next one is not so gullible. Ha-Ha-Ha, sorry but I had to go there
  2. Thoughts and prayers to everyone.
  3. Great area for riding. Post a couple of the Killboy picts when you get them. And a big 10-4 on Popcorn.
  4. This is the route we took last year except in reverse. Lots of nice countryside and some highways so if you are not in a real hurry this worth the extra time. We also took a side trip to York PA to take the Harley plant tour if you are interested. It's about a 2 hour ride in and back from Exton PA on SR 30/East Lincoln Hwy plus the time at the plant. Hope this helps a bit. • Norfolk across and under the Chesapeake then take I-95 for a short distance just out of the Wilmington area and then take 202, (Wilmington Pike) toward Talleyville, PA. • Continue into Pottsville then around Allentown • Take SR 512 to Bath PA. Stay on 512 until the Mount Bethel area then 680 to I-80 • Head north on I-80 to East Stroudsburg then take 209 through Dingmans Ferry then to Port Jervis, NY • Head east out of Port Jervis on I-84 toward Hartford CT then north on I-91 to Brattleboro. • From Brattleboro take SR-9 then I-89 to Concord. • From there you can head north or if you want to follow the coastal route take SR 9 again out of Concord heading to Portsmouth then up to Kennebunk. • Just north of Kennebunk is Arundel Maine where you can stop at Bentleys Saloon. A cool place for riders/bikers/food/etc. • From there you are on your own.

Papa's gonna get him a new 2016 Yamondavicsaki and pay everyone's subscription so non of us gets reverted.

Glad you and the bike are making a full recovery but sorry you are not able to make the ride down to the VRW. Maybe the International Rally or next years Venture West. Get will!
  7. Maybe, Just Maybe, they have to give their stuff away because they are a P.O.S.? A product is a product is a product and if you purchase it, win it or it is given to you as a gift, the warranty should still be in tact. A reliable, upstanding company should stand behind their products or word will get around and consumers may simply stop making purchases from them. Good thing there were no holes drilled.
  8. Nice looking ride you have there.
  9. Sharp Looking Ride!
  10. Come On...what guy in his right mind would ever read the instructions on how to do anything? That's why I got married.

    Lucky Me

You have to look on the brighter side of things like this. You not only have a much better set of warm comfortable grips installed, you also have a 1.5 set you can list in our classified section or on eBay...Sorry. Great story by the way, and you typing does not appear all that slow Also, thanks for reminding all of us, no good deed goes unpunished.
  12. Prayers and thoughts up and out for a speedy and full recovery Rick.
  13. Must have been, Pink Freud?
  14. Look at the note in the electrical section for options.
  15. Could not sleep last night and found an interesting page on an obscure web site...NO, not that. This may be a preview of the sales info sheet for the mystery bike seen around the west coast over the past few months. yamavicsaki.docx
  16. I agree with Dave regarding the heat across Nevada and Utah. Unfortunately there's not really any back roads I would recommend taking across this area. Start early and you will be fine. As for gas, food, etc, on I-80 headed east out of Winnemucca you will want to stop in Elko NV, then Wendover, NV on the NV Utah border. Once you leave Wendover the next gas in just outside Salt Lake City, about a 110 mile ride. After that you can stay on I-80 to Evanston WY. It's a nice ride up the mountains, or head north to Logan UT, then toward Jackson. One note on Jackson, hotels run from around $125 and up and the cheaper motels fill up real fast. Have fun on the ride and I will see you at Venture West.
  17. Here is what I have for 2001 factory paint codes
  18. My only question about these is do they come with Lo-Jack?
  19. A good riding tool to have is a 4x4 block of wood attached to a chain and connected to the passenger side handles. It can be lowered down from top of the saddle bag and help you when getting on and off the bike and also used as a kickstand stop when parking on a slope. Make sure you cut the length enough to cover the KS pad and for your feet, you don't want to get caught "short":)
  20. A good friend of mine from the Syracuse, NY area lost his best friend yesterday from a tragic motorcycle accident that occurred while they were riding together near Brutus NY. My friend was trailing back a bit when a deer jumped in front of Bobby's motorcycle and struck him near the left front side causing him to loose control. Bobby died late yesterday afternoon from his injuries, he was 53. A few prayers needed for my friend to help get him through the tragic event he witnessed. Rest In Peace Bobby.
  21. Welcome to the group Walley!
  22. Our thought and prayers to you for a quick recovery.
  23. Thoughts and Prayers sent out and up.
  24. Ever had one of those days that if it wasn't attached you'd forget it? Well after taking the wood block from under my KS mine now measures 23" so the air difference would make the height change that much except Larry's. should have less lean than mine since mine is higher from the start. D'oh!
  25. Just checked mine and it at 35lbs. Wouldn't think that would make that much of a variance but maybe. A 2" difference sounds to me a lot but? Maybe the KS is bent
