Bumped.. Thought I'd bump this up before checking out ebay. I pulled my bike out of storage today to start a couple of jobs it needs before riding season. Well I removed the luggage and found the back half of the left saddlebag broken with a large piece on the floor. It must have been hit by me over the winter but I don't remember doing it. Anyway if someone has this for an 84 and wants to get rid of it I'll take it off your hands for a reasonable amount . Thanks Rick

Did a search and didn't see where anyone has discused these so thought I would, as my first attempt at a contribution to this fine site. Found these poking around the web at http://r-markventures.blogspot.com/ Thought they looked like great idea. Then a few days later I ran acrossed them again on Ebay. So, I thought, what the heck. They're an affrodable upgrade and amkes easy cleaning and maintenance, especially nice if you had to get them off on the side of the road for any reason. So I ordered them and got immediate response and even a personal email thanksing me for the order! They were delivered quickly in two days. http://i243.photobucket.com/albums/ff242/stratocurtster/Trials/R%20Mark/20080404_4.jpg They are basically just your 4mm saddlebag bolts with a intregal plastic knurled or scalloped handle on them. So no tools are required to remove or intall the bags. They seem to tighten down adequately by hand on my installation tonight. So all that is left, is to ride and double check them for awhile to make sure they stay good and tight, which it appears they will. I was going to take the saddlebags off my bike so I could give it a good cleaning. When I went to take the saddlebag off the left side (sitting on the bike it is the left bag) the bolt on the top left wouldn't come loose. I broke the allen wrench trying to get the bolt out. After several attempts the bolt head is rounded off. Looking at the diagram for an 05 venture I can't determine which bolt this is. Can any of you tell me the number of this bolt? Also, how can I get this bolt out now that the head is rounded off? Thanks for your help.

Here is a short list of the parts I will be needing to my ride back to snuff. Front Fairing, inner and outer. Rt Lower Fairing Rt saddlebag, complete Trunk W/lid RR speaker cover, goes on trunk Rt saddlebag Trim Rail RT air box cover RT mirror And something I've added Stock winshield I would like these in good to new condition if possible so they wont have to be painted. I am getting ready to repair my 2005 RSTD, Black and dark Raspberry. Need your input on new mirrors, Clearview windshield (should I get the vent? Some say they are hard to clean) upper and lower saddlebag trim, and left side lower cowling. I have most everything else lined up. I don't like stock mirrors and kind of like the Yamaha tear drop with the billet standards with holes. I have heard good and bad about them. Also anyone have any of this stuff for sale? Any help much appreciated. I will be selling off some damaged and duplicate parts cheap after I am done. Thanks in advance.

I have had a problem with one of the saddlebag latches on my 2004 Venture. The latch is extremely difficult to open. It closes just fine but to open it I have to press down on the latch with both hands really hard. Does anyone know about this problem or how to adjust it?

Anyone know where I can find a set of saddlebag and trunk liners for an '84 Venture Royale? I have looked on ebay, Google, checked out all of the known resources like TLC and Bikrbackrest. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I am doing this for a buddy of mine, and it is a surprise for him. TIA

I'm thinking about looking into installing a motorized AM/FM antenna on my venture and I was wondering if there was anyone here that might have looked into it themselves. I'm thinking about finding a spot in the fairing, but I'm wondering if that would be too distracting while riding. I could mount it in one of the saddlebags, but I was thinking it would be in the way of the passenger and I'd have to get a quick disconnect of some sort so I could open the saddlebag... and then thinking about in the trunk, but it would decrease my storage there... the one specifically that I'm looking at is this one which doesn't have the motor mounted directly on the antenna and would probably allow for more compact mounting. So, any thoughts?

We would have been totally lost on our trip last fall with out these bags. Yamaha sells these as well, but they cost more from Yamaha. Cruiser Backrest has aftermarket saddlebag liners, trunk liners and trunk rack bags that fit the RSV to perfection. The prices are good and their service is great.
