Ok, so on my way in to work this evening, I pass a couple of Ventures on the road. Everytime I pass one, I wonder, "Are they a member of VR?" I think we ought to come up with a "secret" wave so we know who is a member as we pass. Then again, I may be smokin crack:rotf:. Any ideas?

Minorities We need to show more sympathy for these people. * They travel miles in the heat. * They risk their lives crossing a border. * They don't get paid enough wages. * They do jobs that others won't do or are afraid to do. * They live in crowded conditions among a people who speak a different language. * They rarely see their families, and they face adversity all day, every day. I'm not talking about illegal Mexicans; I'm talking about OUR TROOPS! Doesn't it seem strange that many Democrats and Republicans are willing to lavish all kinds of social benefits on illegals, but don't support our troops and are now threatening to defund them? Please pass this on; this is worth the short time it takes to read it.

As some know from my "I'm Popeye the Traitor Man..." post, I sold my 86VR & got a 97 Wing cuz nav just didn't trust the 86 anymore, after 4 breakdowns....even though I put in $2500. to fix. Well, the 86VR has been in my garage ever since, but today, a truck came & took it away, too. On its way to Germany. They have a HUGE European Venture Club, from there to Norway. It's Gone ! Now I got that 'final' feeling. I wasn't looking for a Wing, but came on a deal that only a fool would pass. We've only rode it 40 miles so far, due to weather & work [& no insurance]. It had really better be a good scoot. I'll have to change my gallery pics when I figure this Vista thing out.

I had been trying to contact venturedad for a hitch for about a week when last night one of our kind members contacted me and said he had a hitch he wasn't going to use , so we agreed on a price and check and hitch are crossing paths in the mail........ This morning venture dad called me on the phone and said he was having Internet problems, was alive and well and ask it I would pass along to all of you that if you want a hitch to call him on the phone number shown on this site. He is working on his Internet problems and hopes they will soon be resolved

Hi, Is there a drain plug for the coolant somewhere on these engines? Or does one have to improvise like on a VW where they tell you to pull a rad hose to act as the drain? Also, I think I need a new O ring for the coolant by pass valve as I have a leak there now. Any suggestions for a non yama solution? Thanks, Brian H. -
I found another superb, ride, Highway 199, from Crescent City, Calif which run's NE to Grants Pass, Or. About 90 miles. Then, from Grants Pass, go 15 Mi. S to Medford Or. From Medford, take the Scinic ride N up to Crater Lake, Volcano, and from there take Oregon 138 back to RoseBurg, Or. ( Do a Google on "Crater Lake" , or check it out at the Wikipedia site ) Or, if you are rideing in Oregon, Any state Highway that cross's E to W or W to E, crossing the Cascade Mt. Range, or, the Coastal Mt. Range is gurenteed to be a good ride. Any of these routes will be from 60 to 100 miles, of Twisties !!! And, you will not see any N.Carolina HWP !!

:900[1]:I'll be heading out west from Casper, WY on the 14th or 15th for a week. Since I'm travelling solo I would like to invite anyone interested in joining me for a portion of the ride. My plan is to leave Casper and either cross South Pass and cut down through Flaming Gorge or down through Medicine Bow and Saratoga. Either way ending up at Vernal, UT. From Vernal to Duchesne then either Colton or Huntington, UT to Fairview, and then Nephi. From Nephi to Ely, NV. From Ely either US-6 & 95 or US-50 but ending up at Sparks to Susanville, CA. From Susanville to Redding then Arcata. Then up the coast to Crescent City and turn inland to Grants Pass, OR to visit a friend. From there to Roseburg and Coos Bay to visit family for a couple of days. Leave Roseburg probably on the 21st heading east (route undecided) across southern Idaho to Jackson, WY and back to Casper by the 23rd. Anyone like to make suggestions or ride along? PM or email me. Note that I avoid riding the concrete slab if at all possible. Just takes all the fun out of it for me. I ride anywhere from 300 to 600 miles a day depending on what looks interesting and camp out along the way. Jeff

No it was on my First Gen, but it was still a thrill. A friend of mine took me up in his "Experimental" plane today that he built himself. It is a beautiful two seat powerhouse that was a blast on a Sunday afternoon. We made a low pass back by the airport at over 200 mph, it was a blast to see how fast the ground moves past you at over 200 mph.....

anyone know where i can find a radiator cap for an 83 vr?? checked the dealer just for the hell of it and they want 30 bucks and it takes a week to get. i said i'll pass

Anyone found a secure/unobtrusive method to mount the EZ PASS or toll road pass on the RSV? AEROSTICH used to sell a nice handlebar mount but it is no longer in their catalog. THANKS, DREBBIN
