Thanks to Bill & John for the original turn signal bars. Some of you wanted to know what I was doing, so here's a little peek. I just got started, and will post more photos if there is any interest. http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j204/DragracerUSA/DSCN9515.jpg

Well as much as I love my RSV, I've been wanting a lighter, smaller bike as a "town bike" I've been looking at all kinds of things, small cruiser, KLR dual sports, anything kind of different. I finally found it! I'm picking up a 2005 Suzuki V-Strom 1000 that is FULLY decked out. Can be a serious long distance ride, or remove the bags and stuff and she is a great town bike. Here is a link to the original owners page on her. http://jasonjonas.com/motorcycling/bikes/dl1kk5.jsp I'm getting her this Saturday at Pere Marquette park in Illinois at an MTF meet and eat. If anyone wants to join in the fun, come on down!

SR2 Barnett Clutch Spring Kit
Guest posted a topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
I noticed there is not a full set of teeth running round the clutch pressure plate, is that right. Original has this. Anyone seen this ? -
I'm brand new to this and am looking for some help. I had the headlight cover on my fairing break out on a ride the other day. I've tried to locate a replacement and have discovered that the part has been discontinued. Does anyone know of any after market products or do I need to manufacture one myself. The original was safety glass. My dilemma is that the housing is curved which makes it much more difficult to fit properly. Any help would be great.

Really I love to enhance features & keep my bike on good shape. But really to get parts from responsable sources looks to be impossible. A year ago I got a wiring cabling from a 1986 VR, toghether with their fairing and structure in order to prepare to migrate it due to the headlight problem on the 83-85s with low visibility. This year I spent a lot trying to get as original as I can with an original CB radio, rider handle control and another accesories. Full FIASCO!!! CB doesn't work, CLASS reports E-4, and plastic broken. Good thing is as Electronic Engineer, I will go through this, but the only idea to re-ensamble everything back, put the OEM CB back not connected yet to the Amplifier, until I can go through this really make me seek, overall when I wast a full weekend putting all the pieces togheter. I start to believe that cheaper & better should be install a J&M system, and forget everything else. Even trying to get the 6 pin cable wiring was a PITA!!! (pain in the a...) Thanks a lot to all the supposed salers of tested parts.

Fantastic article submitted by Lynn Nicholls. Lack of power was the main complaint about the original Royal Star and according to the Dyno tests...this certainly solves that problem. http://www.venturerider.org/carbswap/

After some help from my brother, a Honda rider (oh well, some day he'll convert) I was able to come up with a new fuel pump. It is made by masters and is item #e8055 . It is available at Advance Auto for $62.00 including tax. It does take some modification to the bracket that it comes with and a little fudging but it is in and seems to work great so far. It looks exactly like the original but it is about 1/4 inch bigger in diamater. I'll try to attach a pic. and see what happens. It puts out 3psi which from what I can gather is what the original puts out. Feel free to ask any questions that you may have and I will try to help. Update by Freebird. The linked information for this was outdated and no longer worked. The only fuel pump I find with this part number is Airtex. I hope it's the same one. If not, let me know and I'll remove this information. http://www.amazon.com/Airtex-E8055-Electric-Fuel-Pump/dp/B002XK172K
