well as hard as i tried i just can't sit on the side lines and not have a meet this year. i would like to have a meet at the hub again. no date planned as yet, and it is just going to be a get together of old friends. we did it last year in preparation for the international and had a great time. it will be nothing fancy. no prizes, no frills , just a good old sit around and chew the fat and random ride get together. let me know if your interested. i will have to contact randall at the hub to see what dates are available. i'm figuring a thursday, friday, and saturday. i don't care if we have 10 people turn out, or 100, it will be a blast. i will officially post a date as soon as i get with the hub. i'm open for suggestions on dates. bill :clap2: ps. i talked to lowell yesterday and he said let him know when. like to see you texans up there again.

Brenda and I went for a small ride today and saw a brown MkII at a Subway on Hwy 418 in SC, did pull through the parking lot but didn't stop. If this was one of our members, my apologies. We were running late for a 'date', maybe next time??

OK, who wants to get together in the Dallas/Fort Worth area sometime in January to check float levels and/or valves? I already have one guy who is interested, but we have not set a date yet - if there are two or three others, maybe we can find a date that works for everyone? I'll set floats and idle mixture for $150, valves for $300, or both together with new plugs for $375 (plus any parts needed, such as gaskets).

I have gotten to the point that the first thing I do when pulling up a thread is to look at the original date. There have been several that are one to two years old that it appears the poster that brought it up, ran across it in a search and took off again, without realizing the date. This is fine as we have a lot of great threads, but if I find an old post pertinant, I will start a new thread and refer back to the old post. I think this keeps down some of the confusion, even though for some, I think confusion is a big part of their life. RandyA

Hey all, Just to let everyone know who's planning the 2010 International Rally at Potato Creek. Leadwolf56, 93 Venture, Bummer, Freezyrider and Squidley. I will call on some others for help when needed. I also have offers of help from several people with rally experience. Our goal is to give everyone an enjoyable and memorable experience. We have a poll up to help us set a date. As soon as we have the date we'll get information out concerning camping, hotels, etc. We'll also get a registration page setup and get it on the calendar. I know I have seen it before but can't find it now. I am about to buy a new venom for the rear of my Venture and want to be sure it has not been on the rack for 3 or 4 years. Can someone help me in reading the code on the tire as to date made. Thanks, Joel

I've looked through tons of threads on this and can't find it in any of them. If it's there it's lost within a ton of replies on each one. Anyhoo, can someone tell me how to tell the age (born on date) of a tire. I know that somewhere on there is the week and year or manufacture, but I can't decode it on this new tire I got from motorcycle superstore.

I placed an order with http://www.milwaukeeleatheroutlet.com for a Kuryakyn touring bag on March 27. I received an automated email on April 1 from shane@californialeatherwear.com saying that my order had shipped, but it did not give a shipping date or a tracking #. After four email request for a shipping date and a tracking #, I have heard zero, nada, zilch and I am beginning to wonder if I have been taken. Maybe the reason they sold this item at such a good price with free shipping is that they don't actually ship. Let's see....... yep, that's 100% profit. Anyone had any experience with this company? I have been in contact with the Oberlin Inn and they have a few rooms left. We have filled our block of rooms, but they will still discount any available rooms if you identify yourself as a VR member. They need to verify that everyone that had originally booked rooms for the first date be sure that they will be there at the new date(June 5&6). They have given me a list of last names since I have the reservation booking in my name. If you would please pm me and let me know if you still plan on being there that would be great. They do not want anyone to be charged that was booked for the original date that they switched reservations for. Please give me your last name in the pm please. They want to make sure we are happy. Thanks for your help.

I saw a Mid Night Venture heading North on M-24 in Lake Orion Michigan Saturday morning at 9:15 am. 21 deg. On the back of his jacket was U.S.M.C with the date underneath. Anybody from this sight? Sure was a nice week-end.

For those who might be needing a book at the Hub I have called and emailed the hub to cancell my reservation for the 09 rally have not heard back from them yet but that is probably due to time of year not one but both daughter's have come up pregnant and ones due date is the first week of Auguest the other is real close to that. So if any one is needing a Double room that was what I had booked.
