  1. Was putting my new fuel filter in upside-down yesterday. Only discovered it because I was having problems with the rubber mount.
  2. Have to open up fairing. There is an adjustment bolt with hex head and Philips slot for adjusting headlight beam left and right.
  3. Right now, headlight beam shines straight ahead. Instead of lowering the beam, could direct it towards the right shoulder. Not going to happen right now.
  4. Looks like my Broview. Not sure why I get flashes sometimes. We are set the same. I know LED's are much more white. Oh well, drive nearly always during the day. Love my LED headlight, and could drive on low beam all the time. Enjoy!
  5. Big Lenny, The decision is yours, but I would say do what makes you feel best. You will have a great time either way. We have done the Southwest out of Denver and Northwest/Canada out of Seattle with rental cars. Had great times! Must admit I always regretted not having our trike whenever I saw motorcycles. My wife cannot travel far on our trike, so she went to visit her sister in June, while I made my western adventure in June/July, 9,202 miles, 38 days, 25 states. I was in my glory! So happy I made this trip while physically able. You will have a great time whichever way you choose. If you are both tired and want to enjoy your new car, then use your car. It's all about what satisfies you folks the most! Have a great time!
  6. Installed Dion's ignition switch by-pass relay. Trike still starts! Hooray!
  7. Glad you are okay! Sorry about your bike. Had a 18 wheeler blow a tire in front of me one time. Smoke and rubber shards everywhere... Scared the living daylight out of me. Truck pulled over, and I did also to see if there was any damage. Fortunately, nothing happened to me. Trucker called out to see if I was okay. Gave him the high sign. Dodged a bullet that day.
  8. Will be available on the Gen 4.

  10. If using Windows, go to File Explorer, locate source pic, open file (double left mouse click), and click on rotate at screen top. Then use this rotated pic.
  11. Yes, still on high after my awesome adventure. So happy with the way my trike held up under all sorts of extreme conditions. Mike has been taking walks. He posted on Facebook today that he is concerned about the difference in size between his left and right arms. Well, he does almost everything with his left arm right now. Sure his right arm is suffering from atrophy. Told Mike he needs to contact doctor and line up physical therapy. Sure it is important to do so as soon as bones are strong enough. His arms need to be worked to get back his prior strength and mobility. The x-ray technician at St. George, UT picked up Mike's trailer and is storing it. Mike is still working on bike repair and considering triking it.
  12. Thanks Puc! Now if I can only shake my stiffness...
  13. Hydraulic valve lifters that never need adjustment are great! http://ridermagazine.com/2017/07/21/2018-yamaha-star-venture-road-test-review/
  14. Hi James, Agree, it also made our day! You have a beautiful Gen 1! Hope you had a great time on your trip. Sad that Mike (BrakePad) had an accident outside Kanab, UT. We were having a great time until that happened. Joe went back to WV after we got Mike home. I pressed on, but Mike was always on my mind. Mike is healing, but he has a long road to recovery. Was still a great trip for me, and glad to be home safe and sound. Hope we meet again down the road!

  16. Not going to lower my headlight any further. Low beam lights the road beautifully, and it does not shine into the rear window of cars. Out of 38 days on the road, only rode once at night. Rarely ride at night. Also found LED lights on cars to be bright, as compared to incandescent lights. Blinked at some cars that returned a blinding amount of light.
  17. For folks interested, photos taken at: 1. Great Basin NP, NV 2. Lassen Volcanic NP, CA 3. Crater Lake NP, OR 4. Hells Canyon, ID 5. Yellowstone NP, WY 6. Mt. Rushmore, SD
  18. Just came back from 9,000 mile trip with this headlight. They are bright, so I lowered beam before I left. Low beam is outstanding! Lights up the darkest of roads. Some folks blink at me, so adopted practice of showing folks high beam and then lowering. That stopped folks from flashing.
  19. Arrived home safe and sound. Traveled 9,000 miles in 38 days. Great to be home!
  20. Arrived home safe and sound. Traveled 9,000 miles in 38 days. Great to be home! Mike is healing at home and trying to do more each day. He is supported by his lovely wife Melody. Visited Joe when I passed through WV and stayed overnight. Joe and Penny are doing well. Mike is already planning for his next motorcycle adventure.
  21. Much has happened along our journey. Due to unfortunate circumstances, Utah portion of campout has been canceled. Joe and Mike will soon be heading home. As for me, still planning to head west and circle the country. Thanks bros for a great time!
