  1. Cool beans! Now you just have to fill in the states.
  2. 1) Settings -> Edit Signature -> Signature Picture 2) Tool allows for separate Canada/United States/Mexico maps.
  3. Create map and add to your personal signature. https://epgsoft.com/VisitedStatesMap/
  4. Happy Birthday Bob and many more!
  5. Would like to provide a follow-up on the condition of Mike (BrakePad), who was seriously injured at the beginning of our trip last year. Mike was involved in a serious accident near Kanab, Utah. Both of his arms were broken at the elbows. Surgeons at St. George, Utah repaired his arms as best they could, and we assisted getting Mike on a flight home to Florida. Mike was a building contractor with his own business, so this injury was a real blow to his livelihood. He completed his physical therapy, but the strength and flexibility would not return to his arms. Mike was too young to retire and was faced with a career change. He was determined not to let his injuries put limitations on him and still had dreams of touring the country. He talked of becoming a trucker. He enrolled at Indian River State College and completed their trucker program. It involved a lot of course work and shared driving, but he is now a certified truck driver. Mike now has thousands of miles and multiple deliveries under his belt, and just returned home to Florida after driving solo around the country. Hats off to Mike! He had a dream and made it happen!
  6. Looks like new Shell ROTELLA T6 5W-40 Full Synthetic Diesel Engine Oil formula still meets or exceeds requirements of specification JASO MA/MA2. https://www.bonanza.com/listings/Shell-ROTELLA-T6-5W-40-Full-Synthetic-Diesel-Engine-Oil-1-Gallon-550045347-/610706169?utm_source=bing-ads&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=product_feed
  7. FYI, I've used the old formula for 50K miles. https://www.bobistheoilguy.com/forums/ubbthreads.php/topics/4490450/all/Shell_Rotella_T6_5W40_CJ-4/SM_
  8. Confirmed issue was related to bad fuel/bad fuel pump. Drove 170 miles today, and trike is back to normal.
  9. Use rear motorcycle tires on front of my trike. Feeling is rear tires are more durable with increased load. All tires cup on front of my trike on very twisty roads, but they flatten out again on highways. Use Ride-On tire sealant to help with rebalancing. Right now using Michelin Commander II rear tire that has seen 29 states coast-to-coast and down the Blue Ridge Parkway from NJ. Still looks great! Have had tires mounted both forward and reverse, but found no difference. Commander is mounted in forward direction.
  10. Happy Father's Day everyone!
  11. Found my trike pulls from its auxiliary tank if petcock is OFF.
  12. Well, I've had a couple incidents with bad gas. If you swerved to avoid a pothole, you may have shifted gas in your tank and got some bad stuff that lays on the bottom. First time I had problems with gas, I had a full main tank and decided to switch from ON to RES on the highway to test reserve. Trike immediately died. Switch petcock to ON, and trike resumed. Dumped all gas out of tank and filled it with fresh, conditioned gas. RES and ON then worked fine. Recently, hit some pot holes with my right rear tire, and shook things up. As I approached home, believe bad gas ruined my fuel pump and clogged 2K mile fuel filter. Trike would idle, but could not take off in gear. Replaced fuel pump because it no longer made ticking sound. No change! Dumped all gas out of fuel tank and filled it with fresh, conditioned gas, drained fuel lines/new fuel pump and replaced fuel filter. Initially, trike still idled okay, but would not take off. After some persuasion, finally cleared the carbs and trike ran fine. What I'm saying is, you may have liquid at the carbs, but it could have water.
  13. Bob's fuel pump recommendation may be superior and lower cost than the OEM fuel pump, but I'm perfectly happy with the OEM pump. Last thing I need is engine problems.
  14. Bought new fuel pump from Partzilla for $220.00. Didn't mind because I got 8 years, 51K miles from original. Concerned about getting pump with check to keep gas from leaking into cylinders. Some folks have blown holes in their engines by using wrong fuel pumps.
  15. Sorry to hear this Bob. Recently got a bad tank of gas that killed my fuel pump. Mine acted up about a mile from home, and I was able to limp home. Was not able to bring my pump back with new points. Replaced it with a new OEM pump. Trike is happy again. Glad you are home. Good luck!
  16. Trike seems to be back to normal. Raced it around the back yard, and it moves freely. Was concerned because I hit some potholes with the right rear wheel in the rain, but does not seem to be an issue. I checked the calipers and drive train when I had trike elevated on jack stands. It was hard to judge the ease of pushing trike when it was dead, because it was uphill in plush grass. Trike weights 1,200 pounds.
  17. Problem solved! NOT CLUTCH! BAD GAS! Bad gas killed 51K mile gas pump and clogged 2K mile fuel filter. Drained main tank and filled it with fresh gas conditioned with Seafoam and Sta-Bil. Drained bad gas from fuel lines and new fuel pump. Replaced fuel filter. Trike still idled fine, but continued to stall on take-off. Let trike warm up and kept working throttle. Eventually, new gas worked through carbs, and trike performed like normal.
  18. Ready to attack what I believe is a bad fuel problem. Recall my last fill-up from my 12-day vacation was at a seedy looking filling station. Have a new fuel filter and hose to drain fuel tank from petcock. Will also drain new fuel pump. Anxious to get started, but first things first.
