  1. The RSV's do not have a vacuum petcock. Strictly mechanical
  2. I've seen some of those stunt riders turn around on the saddle and ride facing the rear. Does that change the left side into the right?
  3. Mind
  4. Parmesan
  5. Floating
  6. You can replace the long slashes with short ones. I had those on mine.
  7. Guts
  8. I agree!
  9. If you add highway pegs to the crash bars the braces will keep the bars from flexing when you have your feet up on the pegs. The plastic lower fairings can then crack when the bar flexes forward. The fairings are expensive to replace
  10. If it is only tweaked have you tried to just bend it back to position?. They move pretty easily. It would be a good idea to purchase Carbon Ones brackets to firm both crash bars up.
  11. 3-5 inches in central Illinois tonight so he's covering a pretty large area. Puc must have really ticked him off
  12. Our high on Wednesday will not get above 0 degree F
  13. Are you trying save as a Bookmark?
  14. I am relieved to hear that I am not alone. Do they have support groups? I have forwarded this to my family members so they understand. Now, back to shopping for a new air compressor
  15. Over full with oil, as this appears to be, will accumulate in the air intakes under the tank. When the bike is on the side stand the oil will drip out on the left rear corner, down the side of the carb, and continue down the side of the engine and exhaust. Need to pull the intake plastic pieces and clean. Not sure if that is the case here but with oil level that far overfilled it is likely.
  16. Sat in one this past weekend in a dealer showroom and it's not for me. Feels like a car and seems to take up about as much room as a car. I have a two seat convertible already with a heater and top if I need them.
  17. This is about the pump with a check valve instead of using the MR Gasket pump. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/second-generation-venture-tech-talk/80318-fuel-pump.html?highlight=FUEL+PUMP you can always just replace the points too
  18. Sounds exactly how mine did when it failed. If not under warranty check this site for posts about replacing the points and save some money
  19. I have used Cabon Ones bracket and wire harness and highly recommend them. The harness comes with the required relay
  20. vzuden = contraction of my last name (VanZuiden)
  21. And... The body side moldings are straight front to rear while the '56 takes a curve downward. I have a '55 Belair 2 dr hardtop. And a '25, '34, and a couple of '62's but that's a whole nuther story
  22. I have a little firsthand experience with traveling state to state and different laws. In the state of Wisconsin license plates are not required for small, non commercial trailers. However Illinois requires the license plates regardless of where you are from. My son with a Wisconsin registered truck towing a trailer with no license plates hit a deer soon after crossing the state line of illinois. State police showed up and his truck was drivable but he couldn't continue because he was threatened with the trailer and the two motorcycles in it being impounded. After phone calls to his uncle, owner of the trailer, and me, in Illinois and owner of the bikes, he was allowed to proceed with a warning. We think the officer was just being a jerk to a 25 year old.
  23. Does your replacement fuel pump have a check valve to prevent fuel from draining through it? If not one will need to remember to turn off the petcock at the tank to prevent hydrostatic lock and potential serious engine damage
  24. How do you balance that thing?
