My did the same. Sounds like fuel pump. They can fail completely or be intermittent. I went aftermarket - any auto parts store should have a Mr. Gasket 42S but you need to be sure to shut your fuel off every time you park the bike since it doesn't have a check valve. Other options are to replace the contact points in your pump or use a pump with a check valve. Search for posts as there are many

I had this happen on an Honda GL1000. Got a ride to an auto parts store and purchased a new battery. While installing it I found that the negative battery cable at its grounding point to the frame was loose. I never new for sure if the battery shorted internally due it's failure or the bad ground caused the battery to get hot internally and fail. New battery and cleaned and tightened the ground cable and was good to go.

I had a key cut at ACE with no problem. They copied it from my every day use key

With a carb overflowing like that could fuel have gotten into the cylinder, past the rings and into the crankcase?

Hey MikeG in SC, if you or the significant other are traveling Illinois toll roads again and you drive through the iPass or even a Coin Only toll without paying you can pay online. I believe there is a time limit but there is a website where you pay without penalty. Recently I had a rental car and didn't have my iPass and turned off the toll road and the exit was .60 coins only. I had no change so drove through. Paid the .60 online when I got home. If hadn't they would have tracked me down though the rental car company and ticketed me. Don't ask me how I know
