  1. Here's some retro styling that Yamaha can't match....sorry couldn't get picture to rotate
  2. Your trike is way over priced too for the record
  3. You need to go test ride a Roadmaster there is nothing you can buy or put on a RSV that will make it ride, handle or perform as well as a RM. Not trying to piss people off, but as a previous RSV owner, I couldn't get over the difference. I myself did the tires, springs, leveling links, shock, and other items. Bike has a terrible center of gravity and very top heavy. I blame this on the engineering design when trying compete with Honda GW which they missed by a mile.
  4. Looks to me like they want to concentrate on the Indian brand which is out selling Harley in most parts of the country. Why did Yamaha quit making the RSV.........no one was buying it. Poor handling and same design for way too long, like riding a brick with two wheels. Reading these posts it seems like y'all like the fact that they are stop making them. At least they are made here in the USA.
  5. Take it from me and your wife Ron................ditch the venture. Once you ride the RM you'll be glade you purchased it. I love the 111 cubic inch Thunder Stroke engine on mine and with 6 speed tranny I very seldom go over 3500 RPM.....plus no carbs to mess with Ron!
  6. I'm using full open and it seems to work ok but long pants are a must. Found some Kuryakyn Chrome saddle shield heat deflectors @ Dennis Kirk. No reviews on them though, do you have any info on if they work or not?
  7. Bike has rather warm on first ride and I did not know vents were there. Right leg got pretty hot but it was a 95 degree day to boot. Stopped took a break and found in manual. Bike has two vents on both sides, and I found a comfortable setting shortly after. Seems to be a right side issue only from the rear cylinder. Oh well nothings perfect and I don't think I can ever wear shorts again on very hot days when riding........not a good idea anyway.
  8. Traded my 09' Venture for a 16' Indian Roadmaster today and will take delivery tomorrow. Liked and enjoyed my venture the 7 years I've owed it but, with all the torque and HP, much better handling and comfort found on the Indian I'm getting rid of her. Plus no more valve adjustments or carb sync's.
  9. Still running original on 2009 RSV with 42K.
  10. I use Dana beads to balance both and have since replacing original set. Yes that's a lot of weight and increases the chance of one falling off. Wheel weights coming off is not a problem with the beads.
  11. Sweet home AL. looks like your just off Old Railroad Bed Rd
  12. I have not seen anything beyond normal wear on the rotors. What I mean is the wear line looks the same as when I installed them, but I have made no mic checks on them.
  13. I have a full set of EBC double H and this will start the fourth season with them. During winter maintenance found 50% or better left, I would highly recommend them.
