  1. Is this the same one? http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_524744_524744
  2. I think I will have to give that a shot.
  3. Part number from an older post. 90338-11152-00 PLUG,SPEC'L SHAPE
  4. Actually this is a common problem, some folks just put a dime against the plug to hold it in tighter. I would go ahead and replace them while you have the fins off.
  5. I tried it on both bikes and it was all over the place. I am thinking about putting in a plug and using a cheap in dash tach when I need it.
  6. They are awful proud of it.
  7. I bought the one from Harbor Fright and could not get it to work.
  8. Get better fast, praying everything works out.
  9. I have done both, it was just easier to cut the rear cable and put on the new connector. Walcott CB Has everything you need.
  10. Looks like Spring may actually be here soon so we are reseting the target to: You,your bike and a Dairy/Creamery. I have Muffinman's blessing on changing the target to keep things moving. http://media-cdn.tripadvisor.com/media/photo-s/02/d7/49/92/calabash-creamery.jpg I figured as nice of a weekend as it was someone would have gotten this.
  11. I bought one of the Mr, Gasket 42S this weekend and the supply fitting came off when I pulled on the hose a little I would suggest you order the one from Aircraft Spruce. http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalo...facetpumps.php Parts 40105 and 40171(this one has positive shut off) This thread has a pic of the facet one installed. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=76778&highlight=fuel+pump
  12. Cool Beans !
  13. This happened near my brothers and I avoid that stretch of road just because of the fog and drivers who will not slow down even with all the warning signs. My heart goes out to those that were involved.
  14. I have the same issue, however I like those stands that you can roll around your garage to get the bike out of the way more.
  15. Check the battery connections, fuse, and ignition switch.
  16. I looked at a similiar one and the same things were said and after just puliing it around the dealers parking lot I decided it was too much.
  17. I did a very stupid thing yesterday, I bought a Tach Multimeter and wanted to check it out, I turned the fuel on and hit the starter button but it would not start and about the time I rememberd I had the fuel pump out is the same time I smelled the gas. . About half a gallon of gas was on the pad beneath the bike and my garage still smells like gas. Lesson learned, when you take out a part of the fuel system put a tag or something on the valve to remind you not to turn it on.
  18. I am going to replace the connector nice to actually find something definitely wrong.
  19. Eck, I just looked at it and it sure does. Thanks
  20. Ok I am about to push my bike over a cliff, first I thought I had carb issues so I went through the carbs cleaned and adjusted everything very little change. Changed fuel filter and checked out the fuel pump it seems to work well on the bench with good pressure and good suction. One day out riding I turned the key on and nothing happened turned the key on and off a couple times and everything lit up, this has happened a couple of times then last week I turned on the bike and everything lit up and it cranked but would not start turned the key on and off a couple times and then it started. I figure my switch is going bad but Is it causing all the other symptoms too ? Will a ignition switch going bad effect performance or is it all or nothing?
  21. I used one of these last time and it worked great. http://www.motionpro.com/motorcycle/partno/08-0482/
  22. J&M has the handle bar mount ones. You know a good RM could just build one
  23. Not a bad deal make sure they check for dry rot since it sat up awhile.
