  1. I don't think putting flags down low in place of antenna's down low, next to the trunk is a good idea, as the flags flap in the wind they'll scuff and dull your paint on the trunk
  2. Well then.... guess I'll need to look a little closer.
  3. I'm sure it's the seal, when I move it I can see oil seep out around the shaft. I got all my parts from RONAYERS.COM good prices, quick shipping. Been using them for years.
  4. I'm in the middle of replacing the Clutch slave and noticed that the shift shaft seal is leaking, I have the new seal, what is the best way to remove the old seal and get the new one seated in the bore? Sealer on the outer bore? When I put the middle gear cover back on should I use any sealer on the new factory gasket? I also have new rubber booties for the shift rod heim joints.
  5. So I shouldn't use an acetylene torch with a fine cutting tip ?
  6. Jeannie has one too I hope she never has to skid though Those with slow fingers must wait!
  7. I can attest to that little bleed hole givin' ya grief.... had it happen on the snowmobile this past winter, drove us nuts till we found that it was plugged. Picture it, flying down the trail, flames shootin out the vent stopped for a look/see ,brake disk was so hot you could almost see thru it !
  8. Jeannie always complains of tired arms after coming off a road with miles of tight switchbacks, it does take more out of you than when on 2 wheels, but she can outrun me on many roads like that !
  9. 47 !!!!!!!!!!! 47 years ago today.......
  10. WELL..... you've had a few weeks to ride that with the new clutch, what's the verdict ? Any pic of the parking brake setup yet ?
  11. For even easier steering on the trike, add some Flanders bars on top of that easy steer, it makes a noticeable difference.
  12. Sweet........ I was at the Victory dealer the other day and I'll be back there later this coming week for a CCT test ride. I really like the options you have with them, the ability to remove the bags, tour pack and front lowers really have my interest. If only they offered it in that flat grey , no special orders
  13. I've got the cure for that !
  14. Did you get the scabbard and Garrand with it for the right hand fork leg? If you did, I have some tracer rounds to light your way
  15. That's what makes this site a pleasure to be a part of. Helpful folks no matter what the subject is. We are looking forward to our first outing of 2014, just wish I had a little more time to enjoy the sights along the way.
  16. He won't kick you out till you're done with the international rally this summer.
  17. Going from the dragon to New Bern, NC we have no set plan or route, except that we're going to spend the night somewhere, about half way to New Bern. A ride thru Maggie Valley don't sound bad it'll give us a taste of the area for when we go back to spend some time around there. I think the second route I posted will be the one we take, maybe with a little tweaking if there's a MUST TAKE road that does not take us to far off course. Thanks for the help with this leg of the ride.
  18. Guess I should not have laughed at ya.... Ground is white here now too! And to add insult to injury, we have been without power since 10 am
  19. :rotf:
  20. LED or Stock bulbs?
  21. How's THIS route look? Any better?
  22. Randy & Eck , thanks for the tip on the cabins, we're booked for 1 night. When we're done with Cherohala and the dragon we are headed east to the coast, how does THIS route look to cross NC. What should we expect traffic wise if we take my proposed route ? Is it a nice ride or should we avoid any areas ?
  23. You'll probably get more input if you post this in First gen tech section.
  24. ME TOO
