You over personalized the bike. By doing this particular theme you narrowed the buying market down to practically nothing. You can put a bunch of ad on's onto a bike, but you do not get near what it cost you back out of it. 7K for a 2003 is a lot of cash. There are 2007's on ebay for less money. If you can get 6k plus the shipping costs from a buyer, you better take it. Cut your loss. It is what it is.

EBC. Look on ebay. That is where I get all of my pads. Way cheaper than the dealer.

You and Sandy have a nice time, stay safe !

Mmmmm....I can see stretched bags and rear fender....low profile trunk.....front raked out a bit for a 28" tire......a sleeker outer fairing........burnt orange metallic with sunglow flames......mini apes........

You have to watch how long the ramp is on cargo/landscape trailers. Too short of a ramp and you bottom out the bike at the hinge. I am going to be buying an Aluma trailer actually made for a motorcycle. Looking at getting the one made for a trike. $2700 with a 5 year warranty. No fuss...no muss.....no modifications required.

Help needed if possible for a Garmin Nuvi 2555 route planning

Plug your gps into your computer or laptop, go to google maps, plan out your route. You can send it to the gps. -
I would love to see you ride a unicycle!! Means nothing without a video!!!!

Yeah, I liked it a lot. My wife said she was not as comfy on it as she is on my 07 RSV, but a new pillow top seat, arm rests and larger passenger floor boards and she would be fine. Definitely an endless supply of goodies to personalize the scoot to make it your own, more that what was ever offered for the RSV. I was not to kean on the display at first , but it grew on me and I actually really like it. So I put some miles on a Tri-Glide I rented from Black Hills last year, put over 300 on the Low Thursday. Now I want to rent a regular Ultra for a day and an Indian Roadmaster also. Really put some miles on them so I know what I want. I do see a Harley in my future.

No Scott, I do not want to get involved in him selling or buying anything. He is 76 years old and just bought ANOTHER 5th wheel against his wifes wishes then as I new hew would....needed a newer truck to pull it. She is livid about that as it is, especially since she has no intention of going camping anymore. Long story there. Nope, I am staying out of it and all of there finances. He bought it, he can deal with it.

I had been on the ol google maps one day and dd a street view of my parents house and m dad was out on the front porch. So I got onto maps again and showed him. He was pissed!!!! -
I do not sugar coat things. Simple as that. I stated my opinion, my father inlaws opinion and the first thin said was because I feel it rides like crap that it must not be set up correctly so I made it clear again. Basically, Voyager kits just like Harbor Freight.....you get what you pay for. Some do not mind these kits. I highly suggest that before buying any trike conversion that you should really try and arrange a test ride on your particular bike with that kit. He did not do that. Now after dropping a few thousand dollars he regrets it. When living on a fixed income, you really need to investigate before you buy. Nuff said. Done on the subject.

Well, my wife and I had plans to go to the Upper Penninsula Wednesday through Saturday. We were going to ride up to Grayling, me on my 07 RSV and my wife on her 07 Shadow Spirit. Well with watching the weather we changed our plans. Thursday was the only day that was to be nice. So we decided to drive up in the cage and just hang out in Grayling with her parents. I changed those plans again. On the way up on Wednesday I figured why not salvage Thursday and ride the lower. So I called 45th Parallel Harley in Gaylord and reserved a bike for Thursday. Picked it up in the morning. 2015 Harley Electra Ultra Classic, 103 c.i. Low version. We headed out with my wife and I on the Harley and her mom and dad on his ancient Goldwing with the Voyager trike conversion. Well, this is the second time I have rented a Harley. Last year was a Tri-Glide out in South Dakota. Thoroughly enjoyed it. This time, two wheels for the day. I know Harley gets a lot of flack. Hell, even I slam on them, but I gotta tell ya........they are very beautiful machines. Well, it was pretty hot out, we rode that sucker all day. I put just over 300 miles on it in one day. Did it get hot and roast my nuts? No, it was warmer at times than my Venture, but nothing to complain about. Liked the handling, but the Low version was just a bit too small. Not enough leg room. The power of the 103.....very nice. Controls for the radio and GPS, not bad. Handling with the low was very good. Even got to test it in a torrential down pour. Held the road very well. We got soaked, no rain suits!! But we had a great time even with the storm. Now to find an Indian dealer that rents out bikes....I want a Roadmaster to ride for a day or so. Renting a bike for a day and taking it for a few hundred mile ride is a great way to see if your going to like that particular machine. And quite honestly, I do see a Harley in my future. Not sure when, but when I do decide to buy another bike, Harley will be at the top of my list.

I know your pain brother. I am looking at long term finances and how I will be able to retire and be able to live a comfortable life. I screwed up years ago. Just now at 52 trying to put some cash away for that time I hope to enjoy. It ain't looking pretty.

The kit was installed and set up by a Voyager dealer, I do believe in Alpena Michigan. I am quite sure it is set up properly, but not going to argue with anyone on here about it because I will never own one and I really do not care. I was giving my .02 on the ride quality I personally experienced when I rode it and the fact that he is not happy with it. He rode my brother inlaws 2013 Goldwing Hannigan and loved it, said he wished he would have went that route. Now he is not sure what he is going to do. 76 years old and not sure how much longer he is going to ride. Now, I rode it and compared to the 2015 Harley Tri-glide I put over 200 miles on last year out in South Dakota....I would not even consider the Voyager. I was not impressed with it one darn bit. I personally think they look terrible, look like training wheels on a motorcycle and would not waste my money on one. I liked the Tri-glide. I had no issue with it at all. I want to try a Second Gen with the hannigan. I believe that if and when I do get a trike (bad knees) It will be an independent suspension.

I rode on my father inlaws 20th anniversary Goldwing this week and he has a voyager kit on it. That thing rode like poo poo kah kah. He is not impressed with it. Remember, you get what you pay for. I rented a 2015 HD Ultra Classic Low for Thursday and my wife and I were behind him, she noticed how slow he had to take corners and how the wheels would lift if he went to hard. She said there was no way she would ride on that bike.

What does your forum Name mean or represent?
rickardracing replied to VanRiver's topic in Watering Hole
I was asked this question at maintenance day. Ok, try not to roll your eyes. Rickard is my last name. Racing........when my two boys were younger we were really into rc cars. Not those silly Radio Shack kind, but high end kit type. We competitively raced them for years traveling all over Michigan, Ohio and Indiana. We raced every single weekend. Outdoors was on asphalt road course, indoors was on ozite carpet. We had a blast. Cost ol' dad lots of money. So there you have it rickardracing. -

I have to hit the bank at 9am. I won't make the 10am kickstands up. I am just going to zip down US23 and hit the Turnpike. See you all there. I will ride home with you on Saturday though.
