As I stated earlier in the post, some may or may not be able to find a room cheaper. If you find one more suited to your price range than by all means book that room. I know if the rating is the same I probably would. Not a lot of nice choices in Elyria. So I gave Red Roof the opportunity. I tried in North Olmstead but because I got virtually a lot hits on the thread but only 2 replies saying that they were interested, I could not get the rooms any cheaper. Had people actually replied and gave me a number I could have probably got them a bit cheaper, but no replies other than the two, so it is what it is. The rooms in North Olmstead for that weekend were $144 per night US and they came down to $99 per night and I knew nobody would go for that. As I had also stated, I personally did not like the Quality Inn or the immediate area within, hence one of the reasons I tried someplace else. As far as the exchange rate, I cannot do anything about that nor can I compete with sites like trivago, sorry.

You don't. I carry a plug/Co2 kit in my saddle bag. That should hold it until I can either get it to a dealer if too far away from home or if I am close enough....get it home. I would never attempt a road side swap. Trying to break the bead and dismount and mount the tire? No thanks. As far as taking it off along side the road and hitching a ide to a dealer for mounting and dismounting, just get it there and let them do it.

Only for the night or nights that you require. The block is available for those nights. Mixture of Standard 1 king and Standard 2 full. All rooms are non-smoking. $79.95 per night plus taxes Please post here as you book your rooms I know how many are taken. If more are required we maybe able to get more.

I have a block at the Red Roof Inn in Elyria. $79 per night plus tax. I am trying to get something set up in North Olmstead in a nicer area. I will let everyone know within the next couple of days. Once the location is definite, I will post the block discount number and it will be up to each individual to book and pay for their room. I stayed at the Quality Inn last year and it was not worth what I paid and the area is kind of sketchy, hence my effort to find something better.

CO2 powered air horn from a boat shot right into the phone works pretty good.......Not that I have ever done something like that. A friend of mine did it..Yeah...that's who it was... a friend..........

I got ahold of La Quinta in North Olmstead today. The woman who does the group booking only works Monday-Friday. She will call me tomorrow and I will see if they will beat the Red Roof price. Distance from Don's place is about 20 miles east. Red Roof in Elyria is about 19 miles North. I see that a lot of people have looked this thread over, but I am not getting any feedback. I am not looking for confirmations, just a yes or no if your interested. They need to know how many rooms we would want. The more rooms, the cheaper the price. But I need an odd ball count so I can relay this back to them.

I just went to there site and went through the booking and their rooms are listed for $144 per night. I will give them a call and see what they will do.

I took the liberty of calling the Red Roof Inn in Elyria an I am in the process of getting a block discount for rooms for Freebirds Maintainence Day in June. They are going to set up a block discount for the rooms. Price as of right now for a single queen bed will be $79.95 plus tax THIS MAY CHANGE. The more replies I get here saying you want a room will give me more leverage to possibly get them cheaper. It will be up to you to call and make your reservation on your own using the group promo code. I HAVE NOT YET RECIEVED THAT CODE. Once I do I will post an update here with the rest of the info. DO NOT CALL AND RESERVE UNTIL I POST THAT CODE OR YOU WILL NOT RECIEVE A DISCOUNT Now, you maybe able to find something cheaper but the Red Roof Inn has a decent parking lot for the bikes and is rated higher stars than most of the other motels in the area. I for one stayed at the Quality Inn and was not too happy with my stay. I will be staying at the Red Roof Inn regardless of the turnout. I know I have been guilty of ruffling a few feathers on this site. I do have a propensity of offering an unwanted opinion and I have a problem with sugar coating how I feel. Yeah Joe...MY OPINION. Those kits look absolutely ridiculous, especially on an 86 Goldwing. That is of course ...MY OPINION.

My father inlaw put one on a 86 goldwing over the summer. I tried to tell him he would not like it.......did not listen.......he hates it. Plus it just plain looks stupid.

I agree with you Jonas. I do not believe he had control of the situation. Looked like he was laying back on the seat. But, too each their own. I would never take a kid for a ride and let him sit on the tank and steer. Nope.

Heck, that's cheap. It cost me $300 for that Tri Glide I rented in Rapid City for a day. $170, I would jump at it. That is about what they charge here in Michigan.

Scott, we stayed at the Quality Inn in Elyria. Jeff, it rained off and on the whole way home, soaked from Toledo on and it rained the whole next day.
