If we all had the same likes and dislikes we would all be riding one style and maufacturer of bike in the same color. Goldwings...not to my liking, Victory...not to my liking, Indian...love them, Harley.....love the style, but not the reliability, Kawasaki....like them. It's all a matter of taste. When I was in the market for a touring bike, I went to the International Motorcycle Show in Novi. I sat on every single touring bike. The RSV was my best fit at the time. I prefer the retro styling. I do not like the hard sweeping lines on the Victory or the tupperware look of a Goldwing. It's just not me. Not trying to offend anyone, it's what I like.

Gary, I am not a fan of the styling of the Gen1, which is why I have a 2007 RSV. But I like what your doing with this bike. Very interesting. The motor looks sweet, VERY nice job! I look forward to hopefully seeing this next year at MD. Randy

The vision is just not right and the other bikes like the cross country have an ugly fairing. Let's just say I am not a fan of any of their rides. I like a traditional/ old school look like the Venture and Harley. Nice rounded features, not some spaceship looking thing that looks like it came out of a tupperware factory.

Victory motorcycles are butt ugly. I would by a Kawasaki first, Harley second and never consider a Victory. But that's just me. AND I am special.

Personally, I am perfectly happy with my 07. I have just about evrything on it I want except the diamond cut fins and yes B2mom, I will be getting those. I don't think I could take another 2 days of harrassment!!:bighug:I really do not have any issues with it being carbed instead of injected. I rode it up to the top of Pikes Peak...14,100 feet....no issues. ABS, really do not need it. Bikes have been without that for years. I did my own guage package. I get alot of compliments on it,especially when the trailer is hooked up. So in short, my resale will hold longer, Yammy can continue to loose market share and I will keep my purdy blue on black beast.

I never really noticed a big differance. There is a definate loss of power, but I never experianced what your talking about.

I would pop the cover off and take a looksie inside before it detanates and causes major damage. As much pressure that is on the bolts that run through the compression springs, it should not be sloppy at all.

Your going to like thae Barnett. I just replaced mine with the Barnett. I ride two up pulling a trailer. I did the Skydoc spring 2 years ago, but I would still have an issue in the mountains every once in awhile. So I just pulled the trigger and went Barnett. Getting ready to leave on a 9 day trip from Michigan to Key West next week. Don't need clutch issues on the road.

Mine was the 07 Blue on Black with the matching trailer. Honestly, they have not changed the bike since they came out, so pick a color you like and go with it.

Even though I am on a lowly......second gen..... I welcome the oportunity to go against a Harley.

How did you get the trunk from Joe? I painted it for him and the last time I saw it, it was on his bike before he sold it.

This type of thing worries me, so I bought a motorcycle tire plug kit last year. It has plugs and two large co2 cartriges to air up the tire.............provided the bead has not broke loose from the rim. Maybe a good investment for everyone to consider.

Unfortunately for Jeff, bad memories. I hate hearing about someone having bike troubles on a long trip.

Awesome. Did mine last year. 1065 in 19:45. Basically went from my place in Michigan to Knoxville Tennessee for dinner and turned around and went home. I would like to do a bun burner this year. Probably do it by myself.
