  1. Find it hard to believe that just because you drained the battery that you killed it, ESPECIALLY an Odessey, those are designed to last a VERY long time under extreme conditions! My 9 year old Odessey in my 1st gen is still good even though it just sets in the bike and the bike has set in the garage since '09! You need to charge the battery at a fairly low rate for many hours, like at 2 to 5 amps for about 8 hrs. Did you check the voltage before and after charging with a voltmeter?? The reason I ask is maybe, just maybe the switch contacts for your ignition switch have gone bad. Ignition switches on 2nd gens is a weak point, and when they go, the bike is seemingly dead, no dash, no nothing, EXCEPT the radio which works on the ACC position which is a separate set of contacts. If you put a set of jumper cables on the battery from your car/truck does the dash light up?? Once again you need to read with a voltmeter what exactly is going on...
  2. Yes, that is EXACTLY what that short tube is, crankcase ventilation! Seems to me I remember @skydoc_17 coming up with a little different vent eliminating it going to the airbox but I could be wrong. That was many years ago...
  3. This just in!! We just had a last minute contribution and now the cash value of the Grand Prize is in excess of $200.00!! You have to attend to win,, soooo, be there if you can!!! Remember, no registration fees, free camping at Pioneer Motorsports campground!!
  4. Yes, they changed the style of the Purolator a while back, so now it does not come in contact with the mating surface. There was a thread about this a few months back. The Bosch should fit fine, been using them for years, just changed my oil a couple months ago...
  5. Yeah!! just ask Yammer, or Condor, or...
  6. Thanks Randy, now there is coffee all over my screen...
  7. Very interesting question Mad Dog, and i wish I had an answer for you but I don't. I just wanted to mention that if you have the phone plugged into a charger, BUT the charger is disconnected from a power source, the charger can and will slowly discharge your phone battery depending on the charger. Soooo, maybe your theory of an intermittent connection has some merit! Or, maybe you blew the 5 amp accessory fuse and don't know it...
  8. Great news Heather! Sure would be nice to have someone on the site making these again! Mine go back to the days Squidley was making them...
  9. Yah! I'm with MiCarl!! Cheap insurance! Of course there is always the gravity feed mod that will get you home, I carry a short rubber hose just for that purpose! But now days with my Carbon_1 auxiliary gas tank, worst case scenario is I manually have to transfer the gas from the main tank into the auxiliary tank...
  10. Puts a few extra hours on the trip, but then again sometimes you can loose a few hours at the border too!! We can go to dinner together when you get in, and "Sister Mary" will be waiting for us on the deck...

  15. Like stirring the pot, eh?!!?:stirthepot:
  16. Yes I tend to agree with you, less than 10W would make suspension kind of mushy, like there was just air, not hydraulic fluid in there! Of course as you stated earlier you are looking for kind of a soft suspension for travelling over gravel and rough terrain. Keep us posted on this, we all would like to know how it works out for you!
  17. Yup! Notifications are fine, cluttering up PM box is not! For some strange reason I seem to get quoted or thanked or referenced a lot...
  18. OK after much deliberation and lengthy discussion we have decided to set and release the cost of the raffle cards! They will be $5 each, and you may buy initially two of them. IF there are any left over after everybody has had a chance to purchase their two, then we will sell the remaining ones first come first served!! Remember the grand prize is worth close to $200.00!!!!!
  19. Yup! ABS it is! For cracks I take a dremel tool and make a V cut along the crack and fill it with the 2 part ABS plastic epoxy, makes it stronger than new. You can also use the 2 part ABS epoxy to fill in missing areas, and to bond prefabricated plastic pieces into the main piece such as the case of missing tabs, etc. The epoxy is sandable and paintable as well...
  20. Well Jay, don't quote me on this, but there are rumors that the wayfaring ice cream truck may accidently wander into the campground, it HAS happened in the past! Jonas, looking forward to having you here! Somebody has to serve the Black Death...
  21. Yah! I got that too!! Waiting to see if it happens again...
