  1. I've had a .36 Navy for a long time w/ brass frame. Its fun for an hour or so of plinking. Its probably my most used BP gun.
  2. NO, a thousand times NO. One reason I ride a motorcycle is to get away from things like the internet. I choose not to wear a slave collar even if it shows I am socially responsible.

    bike chase

It almost appears to me that towards the end of the chase, the motorcycle may have been running out of gas? did anyone else see that, or is it just my imagination?
  4. I found .44 mag to not be comfortable to shoot == I wouldn't practice much with it, which I like to do. I did buy a Ruger Redhawk in .41 mag which is still a handful for me. I have reloading dies for it, so isn't too expensive to shoot.

Hey Pick ! Its been a while. Maybe we should put together a ride over to Barber Museum sometime this summer. cheers
  7. Who else was pulled into this thread thinking it was going to be a discussion of the In-and-Out burgers?
  8. many long range rifle iron sight target shooters learn to focus on their front sight clearly and let the target be blurry. That technique seems to result in better groups and higher scores. There are a few eye doctors who specialize in creating shooting glasses which provide the optimal focus for a given rifle's front sight.
  9. My stepfather inhertited his father's .300 Savage, and my youngest brother now has it. Its taken Many-many deer.
  10. some of the non-pillowtop seats have been modified (ala Rick Butler) to have a slightly different contour and better foam padding. But externally its hard to see the difference.
  11. I've had spells of breathing problems at night, although maybe not as severe as you describe. I've found that taking an antihistamine just before bedtime helps and I sleep much better and don't wake myself up snoring. I'll take a 24 hour antihistamine and 1 benadryl, walmart generics. Its worked for me.
  12. walked to the local DQ for lunch today and got a double cheeseburger $6 meal deal w fires, orange drink and fudge sundae. it was good! open here year round, with drive-thru window, and indoor seating.
  13. unfortunately also raining here in GA. But this is the warmest January in memory
  14. RE -1 And if Google, Amazon, MS, et all have their way. every word you speak and every foot step you take will be recorded, analyzed, and monetized.
  15. One of the disappointments of my life is not having a horse. I came very close to buying a small acreage so I could keep a horse when I bought the property I now live on, but at that time decided instead to be a 'townie'. Horses are smart, and have a long history of companionship with mankind, just like dogs do. A horse with humor doesn't surprise me.

    new laptop

Open Office 'save as' gives you the ability to save files in Microsoft Word format so Word users can read the file. You can also save files in a couple of text formats that are readable by other non-windows computers. Rich Text format retains most formatting for computers that don't have a compatible Word/ODT application.
  17. Interesting. I didn't know this was offered/happening.
  18. I had to look up 'choil' the knife choil is the notch between the cutting edge and the blade tang and serves to notify you where to stop
  19. A 6.5mm Arisaka I had was the the most accurate military surplus rifle I had in my collection, before I sold it.
